Not all of the practioners listed in the Wellbeing Pages printed directory are consistently active on social media - and that's exactly the point!

Wellbeing Pages offers a grounded REAL LIFE experience while searching for the healing or growth solutions that people need.

So what does help with?

Well, we recently posted about aromatherapy, and that's where Michele offers her expertise, and she specialises in a holistic approach to menopause.

Essential oils can gently support emotional balance, ease stress, uplift mood, and create a calming space for rest and healing.

When used mindfully, their natural aromas can help soothe the nervous system, enhance clarity, and reconnect you to your body’s innate ability to restore itself.

If you are in need of a gentle healing modality, then aromatherapy could be the solution for you.

So you want to feel happier without waiting for something outside you to change ... Read on 👇

Your brain produces powerful chemicals that influence mood, motivation and connection.

Understanding how to naturally support these chemicals, known as dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins, gives you practical tools for emotional well-being.

Dopamine is linked to motivation and reward. You can stimulate healthy dopamine release by setting small achievable goals, celebrating progress and engaging in focused, meaningful tasks. Consistency builds sustainable motivation rather than short-term spikes.

Serotonin supports mood stability and confidence. Sunlight exposure, regular movement, quality sleep and balanced nutrition all play a role in supporting serotonin production. Gut health is also closely connected to serotonin regulation, which is why digestive well-being matters.

Oxytocin is often called the bonding hormone. It increases through safe physical touch, meaningful conversation, acts of kindness, and time spent with people you trust. Community connection and supportive relationships are foundational to long term wellbeing.

Endorphins are your natural pain relief chemicals. They increase during exercise, laughter, creative expression, and even through practices like breathwork and cold exposure. They help buffer stress and improve resilience.

If you are searching for natural mood boosters, mental health support strategies or holistic well-being tools, activating your own happy brain chemicals is a grounded place to begin.

Today we celebrate the quiet healers, the loyal shadows, the joyful greeters at the door. 🐾

On National Pet Day, I’m reminded that pets are so much more than companions, they are also anchors for our well-being.

They slow our breathing when anxiety rises.
They get us outside when we might choose to stay in our heads.
They listen without judgement.
They offer presence without expectation.

Science shows that stroking a pet can lower cortisol (stress hormone) and boost oxytocin (the “connection” hormone). But beyond the research, anyone who has ever sat with a purring cat or walked beside a wagging tail knows this truth in their bones:

Pets regulate us.
They ground us.
They remind us to play.
They love us on our hardest days.

In a world that moves fast, they bring us back to simple things like fresh air, routine, touch and of course. companionship.

We love them just as much as they love us without conditions.

Today, give your pet an extra cuddle… and if you don’t have one, take a moment to appreciate the animals who have loved you in the past. Their paw prints stay on our hearts long after they’re gone.
