I’m sitting out in the garden, enjoying the weather, eating an ice cream, with my hat on and SPF applied all over. Hope you are having a nice day ☀️
Are you wearing SPF? If you aren’t, then you should be ashamed of yourselves 😆😆 (if you get wrinkles - then, I told you so)…..I am an esthetician - and not a magician 👀👀😋))
Here’s a quick reminder on how to wear your sunscreen.

Wearing SPF (sunscreen) correctly is essential to protect your skin from UV damage. Here are simple, effective steps to apply SPF properly:
How to Wear SPF: Step-by-Step
1. Choose the Right SPF
Use SPF 30 or higher for daily use.
Make sure it’s broad-spectrum (protects against both UVA and UVB).
Pick a formulation that suits your skin type:
* Gel or matte for oily skin
* Cream or hydrating for dry skin
* Mineral/physical (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) if you have sensitive skin
2. Apply on Clean, Dry Skin
🫶🏼Do your morning skincare routine first (cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer).
🧴SPF goes on last before makeup.
3. Use Enough Product
🧴Apply about a 1 pence sized amount for your face alone (roughly 1/4 teaspoon).
For full face and neck: use two fingers’ length of sunscreen (index + middle finger).
4. Don’t Miss Key Areas
Make sure to apply to:
* Ears
* Neck (front and back)
* Hairline
* Eyelids (use eye-safe formulas)
* Around your nose and lips
5. Let It Set
🫶🏼Wait 5-10 minutes before applying makeup or going outside.
🫶🏼This gives the sunscreen time to form a protective film.
6. Reapply Every 2 Hours
☀️Especially if you're:
* Outdoors
* Sweating
* Swimming
* Use a spray, powder, or SPF mist over makeup for easy reapplication.
7. Use Daily
🫶🏼Even on cloudy days, indoors, or during winter. UV rays pe*****te through the clouds. Stay safe and apply, apply, apply!
If you don’t have it on, then you’re barred 😆😆
Much love
