10 years ago yesterday I met Stefan Quarry for the first time, on a train.
I remember feeling secretly relieved that leaving busy Birmingham station I’d gotten a whole table to myself, then at the very last minute this young guy bounds on, stuffing a towel into his camping rucksack and lands, hurtles?! into the seat opposite me.
We then went on to have a life-changing conversation.
He had the clearest eyes I’d ever seen.
Neither of us knew we’d just met our person, but then, some part of us both really did know.
The train stopped on the tracks for an hour so our conversation got to be a nice long one.
And then we went into a 10 day Vipassana, and didn’t see each other for a year and half.
And here we are a decade later!
10 years filled with deep love, deep growth and healing, learning, commitment, humility, joy, silliness!
A few photos from this last month - Stefan’s birthday, our 3 year wedding anniversary on Iona, Teya 6 months old, and looking like a crazy yoda/mother Teresa... and an evil dictator, as you do.
Thank you hubby, I love you very much, I very much look forward to the next decade 💕

Did you know there’s an Ancient Celtic version of Tai Chi, or Chi Gung? I had no idea until recently, and it’s amazing! I learned some Wyda on a retreat with Nico Boccia and Donna Grant and my body and energy loved it. Nico is running a weekend Wyda retreat 10-12 of May at Aurora Borealis and I’m sure it will be awesome! (You can get 15% off below). After the retreat me and and a couple of others did some Wyda at the base of a very windy snow covered mountain over West and it was epic! I can really feel how this practice was deeply connected for our ancestors in these wild landscapes and can’t wait to do more Xx

Such a beautiful day

The waves here on the Southern coast of Mexico really draw

Laying on our bed where we're staying, about 2 and a half minutes walk from the beach at the slowest saunter pace I can feel the waves moving inside my body. It's like I can feel the ebb and flow of the tide moving the waters within me, such a crazy and cool feeling! I could feel it on the beach this morning too.

On our honeymoon on Uist we were staying in our new family's A-frame next to a tidal island. The water would fill and empty over the course of the day, tide out and you could walk across to the island, then tide in, and you had to be back. I could feel it empty and fill, so peaceful, so gentle. It was such a peaceful place to rest.

And walking beside the River Ness, in Inverness centre, the wide river flows fast. As I walk past it, especially if I close my eyes, walking along the pavement with the feeling of the river's flow in my body is such a rush, walking feels so much quicker!
