This week’s community growing course members learned all about composting, helping to set up the Stratton site three part pallet compost beds.
These courses bring local folks together from all walks of life, to build a better future for Bude and to connect our community. Feels special to be part of.

More colourful, diverse and tasty than pre-packed supermarket offerings, home-grown salad leaves are quick and easy to grow.
Salad leaves are easy to grow from seed or from young bought plants. They can be grown in the ground or in containers, and take up very little space, so are particularly useful in small gardens, balconies and even windowsills.
For plentiful harvests all summer long, sow small batches repeatedly about a fortnight apart. Once one batch is finished, the next one will be ready to start harvesting. You should get two or three pickings from each sowing.
Happy Salading 🥗
