We understand that many patients feel more comfortable seeing a particular GP, and where possible, we will always try to accommodate requests for a GP of choice. Continuity of care is important, especially for ongoing or complex health concerns.

However, there are times when this may not be possible due to GP availability, annual leave, clinical workload, or the urgency of your condition. In these situations, you may be offered an appointment with another member of our clinical team to ensure you receive timely care.

Please be assured that all of our GPs and clinicians work closely together and have access to your medical records, so you will continue to receive safe and appropriate care.

Smoking remains one of the biggest causes of preventable illness in the UK, increasing the risk of conditions such as heart disease, stroke, lung disease and cancer. The good news is that it’s never too late to quit – and the benefits start within hours of stopping.

Quitting can be challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone. There is free support available through the NHS, including advice, stop smoking services and treatments that can significantly increase your chances of success.

✔️ Ensure you are booked with the right clinician
✔️ Arrange a same-day or urgent review if needed
✔️ Save you a trip to the surgery where possible

Many issues can be managed safely over the phone or online, but if a physical examination is needed, you will be invited in for a face-to-face appointment.

This March is 𝐎𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 — an important time to raise awareness of one of the most common gynaecological cancers in the UK.

Ovarian cancer can be hard to spot in its early stages, as symptoms are often subtle and easy to overlook. That’s why knowing the signs and speaking to your GP if something feels “not right” could make all the difference.

When requesting an appointment through 𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, you will be asked a series of questions.
Some of these may not seem relevant to your condition, however they help identify any 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐬 that could be contributing to your problem.

If you contact the practice by phone, our Patient Assistants will guide you through the same questions. They are only asking what the system requires.

It is important that 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 so your request can be triaged appropriately and you receive the most suitable care.
