This week marks the 23rd anniversary of passing my exams and becoming a qualified Bowen practitioner. Every year that goes by I feel more and more grateful for the opportunity to keep helping people, on so many levels. I have been so fortunate to have learned from the best tutors and to have access to the most amazing courses to keep my knowledge up to date and relevant.

I am still in awe of this amazing therapy and continue to be surprised at how it can change even long standing issues for people who have "tried everything else".

Spring is starting to peep through and some colour is appearing amongst the grey and the mud. I have had a few days much needed respite in my happy place and now I am ready for the next few weeks, which are looking lovely and busy!

Last week was quieter due to the flooding and many people couldn't get to clinic. So I used the time to watch this webinar which I managed to get access to from the RSM. Nutrition is a huge interest of mine and particularly now there is a lot of work being done in the field of nutritional psychiatry. This includes how important diet and the different micronutrients are in brain/mental health and the gut microbiome, in particular in neurodiverse conditions. In a world full of ultra processed foods, we can now see there is a correlation between nutritional insufficiencies and brain health. Unsurprisingly this could include things like dementia and Alzheimers. I've opened my own can of worms now as I know I am going to get drawn in to further study on this!

These are the feet of the most beautiful baby who I saw in clinic yesterday. He was the tiniest baby I have ever seen! He slept pretty much through his whole treatment to help with colic, and reports of improvements came later that evening.

Time is flying by and we are already heading towards the end of January. I am fully booked with a flurry of new patients and regulars for the next couple of weeks.

It's been an amazing year in clinic and now I am taking some much needed time off over the festive period to recharge my batteries.

There aren’t enough words to express the incredible experience I’ve had this week. A wonderful place with the best group of people, I have learned so much and have even more knowledge to bring back in to clinic. Another one ticked off my bucket list and I hope to go back again one day🌻
