Easter celebrations at Hamnavoe House 🐣

The Easter Bunny has arrived at Hamnavoe House ready to say hi to you all 👋

Our cream tea is underway, or why not join the treasure hunt… or join in on the colouring competition to be in with the chance of winning a egg-cellent prize! 🏆

Come along and see us this afternoon and join in with some Easter fun. Plenty for adults and bairns to see and do and perfect time to get a good yarn with the residents! 🏡 🐣 🐤 ☀️ 🍫 🫖 🧁

Be sure to pick up a colouring page and get it returned to us for a chance of winning an eggcellent prize 🐣

Hamnavoe House Activity and Social Club are going to be in the foyer of Tesco, Saturday 28th March 11-1630. 🗓️

Be sure to come along and say hello and chat about the activities we have planned and how beneficial they are to Hamnavoe House’s residents.

We are currently accepting donations of any kind and these will be warmly received. 🥰

Sensory room 🌸

Our sensory room is now open and ready for use, anytime of day. This room is next to the hairdressers room before you enter into Hamnavoe wing.

Please come in and visit with your loved ones 💕

We have some additions coming to the room very soon, but we are always open to suggestion and donations are very welcome.

Come and enjoy a cuppa, paint your nails, or sit back listen to music and enjoy some peace.

Celebrating Robbie Burns day last Friday, we enjoyed a fabulous Scottish themed feast made by our wonderful kitchen. 🍴🍴

All staff worked hard and made a grand job putting together the tables, menus and decorations so quickly and it looked fit for royalty!

We had grimbister cheese to start, haggis neeps and tatties for main, and a raspberry trifle for pudding. Along with a whisky, cheers 🥃🥃

Very late in posting these - however we just wanted to thank Ian from the Stromness RBL Pipe Band for coming to play for us for St Andrews day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We enjoyed a tasty traditional Scottish meal and some great tunes 🎶

Yesterday we hosted the bake off 🧁

We weighed, mixed and baked all the ingredients before decorating it with ganache and cherries 🍒

At Rognvalds and Smiddybrae also took part and the trophy was awarded to Smiddybrae 🏆

Then we enjoyed some lovely music with Alvaro in Ness wing 🎸

A lovely day had by all 🎶 🎂 ☕️
