Well we have done all the tidying and counting and we are THRILLED to say thanks to your support we raised over £2000 from our Open Day including over £500 of donations which will be used to provide free therapy sessions for Orcadians who need it. THANK YOU to everyone who joined in but particularly to our army of volunteers, you are all amazing!

Gul Orkney is loving the spring weather! The ponies are moulting which will please the birds and the green house is showing signs of spring. Dr C has been up to do more training and assessing and what a good photo it made! There’s a new ground based activity for people and ponies and plans are well underway for the Open Day in June ( 22 nd ).

Spring is here
Spring has sprung in most parts of the country now. We have had the Spring Equinox, the clocks have sprung forward and snowdrops have given way to daffodils
This is little Pancake, born on Shrove Tuesday
He was a particular spring surprise as his owner didn’t know he was on the way! He came as a " surprise package" when his mother changed homes.

Creation is like that. If you leave space all kinds of things can arrive! Like flowers or foals!
BUT don’t forget to stay in balance. Don't just be delighted by longer days and warmer weather and signs of spring and say " yes" to everything or you may be too busy to enjoy it!
Its a good time of year to remember the " the Tank" or " the holey bucket" as the Welsh team call it. If you give out more than you take in your bucket will run dry and you will be exhausted.

It's nearly time for us to re-open after our winter break. We are excited to hear how you've all been getting on with the Orkney winter challenges.
Have you splashed in those puddles?
Created a masterpiece in the sand?
Did you complete all the challenges and need more?
Why not create a print painting using leaves, wood, stones or feathers. Or try painting using a feather or stick instead of a paintbrush.
Give rock stacking a go, how tall can you get it?
How about building a fort?
Whatever you choose, have fun being creative and outdoors!
