𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝟐 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞?

I love receiving messages like this from my clients – and I get them often! This particular client is celebrating her latest HbA1C blood test results, a key marker used to determine if someone has diabetes or prediabetes.

I first heard that Type 2 diabetes was reversible during a radio interview with Tom Watson, Labour MP, in 2018. It was a revelation! Up until then, I believed, like many, that Type 2 diabetes was a progressive and irreversible condition. However, following extensive research - the WHO published a report in 2016 that acknowledged that Type 2 Diabetes is a reversible condition.

Now, as a Certified Health Coach and BWRT Therapist, I often help clients get their blood sugar levels under control to put their Type 2 diabetes into remission.

The risk of Type 2 diabetes increases as we approach and transition through menopause. Unmanaged blood sugar levels can lead to serious health issues such as sight loss, nerve damage, kidney failure, and heart disease.

Unfortunately, many women are unaware that they have diabetes until it’s already progressed. A key indicator is waist measurement – carrying extra weight around your midsection significantly raises your risk.

Thankfully, biomarker health testing (message me if you'd like details) can help you understand your risk and take charge of your body and your health. This proactive approach can also help reverse other conditions that threaten your health and happiness, such as heart disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. In many cases, diet and lifestyle changes have a much bigger impact than medication.

I’m continually amazed by the body's ability to heal when we adopt the right strategies for nutrition, sleep, movement, gut health, and stress management.

The will to live life to the fullest really is an incredibly powerful force when you harness it.
