🐾💛 Bella’s Visit Brought Smiles All Around! 💛🐾

Yesterday we had the absolute joy of welcoming Bella the dog back into our home, and what a difference she made! 🐶✨

From gentle cuddles to wagging tails, Bella lifted everyone’s spirits. Our residents enjoyed stroking her soft fur, reminiscing about pets they’ve loved, and sharing lots of laughter together.

Research shows that time with animals can reduce stress, ease loneliness, and spark wonderful memories—and we saw that magic in action today. 💕

What a fabulous time we had at Northfield House! Our lovely residents came together for a delightful afternoon filled with laughter, music, and a whole lot of fun, thanks to one of their favorite entertainers, Andy Yapp!

As the cheerful tunes filled the room, spirits soared high. Residents couldn't help but join in with hand clapping and foot tapping to the rhythm. It was a heartwarming sight to see everyone, young at heart, singing along to their favorite classics.

The interactive session encouraged everyone to participate, with residents enthusiastically waving their hands and singing along. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of music to uplift and connect us all—no matter the age!

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed a delightful lunch outside yesterday on the decking, basking in the fresh air and warm sunshine! With laughter in the air and smiles all around, it was the perfect opportunity for everyone to savor delicious meals while soaking up the beautiful weather.

During our recent night shift at Northfield House, we experienced a truly heartwarming moment that highlighted the deep connections we share with our residents. One of our cherished residents, Mo, expressed a heartfelt desire to hear a particular song, and we couldn’t resist honoring that request! 💖🎶

It was a beautiful experience to come together in song, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. Moments like these remind us of the power of music to unite us and bring smiles to our faces. We’re grateful to share this special memory with all of you!

Northfield House is a dedicated dementia home. If your elderly loved one has dementia you’ll know they need a very special kind of care. Located in the picturesque Cotswold market town of Stroud in Gloucestershire, Northfield House provides the specialist care they need and is the perfect place for those living with dementia to spend their later years.

Our staff have built up a tremendous practical knowledge of how to provide the very best dementia care. Whatever the type of behaviour, we will have experienced it and know how to deal with it in the best possible way.

The rooms and communal areas here are specially adapted to make them dementia friendly in order to provide an easy to navigate and stress free experience for your loved one.
