After 35 years in the optical world (and 30 years building Drage & Tozer with Sandra), Helen Drage is retiring! 👓💐

Helen has been at the heart of everything we do, and we’re so grateful for her dedication in shaping our team and caring for our patients.

Although her final clinics are now fully booked, we’d love you to join us in celebrating her retirement – and our 30th anniversary – at the practice on 28th & 29th November. 🎉

Meet Rupal, a highly accomplished optometrist, academic leader, and valued member of the Drage & Tozer team since 2003. Alongside her clinical work here, Rupal serves as Associate Dean at the University of Central Lancashire’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, where she leads the development of new optometry programmes and supports the next generation of eye care professionals.
Throughout her career, she has held senior academic roles at Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Bradford, contributed to national optometry standards through her work with the College of Optometrists, and has been actively involved in NHS leadership. Her impressive list of accolades includes being named Lecturer of the Year by the Association of Optometrists and receiving fellowships from esteemed professional bodies worldwide.

Despite her wide-ranging roles, Rupal remains passionate about patient care and is proud to be part of the Drage & Tozer team. Her dedication to both education and clinical excellence ensures that patients benefit from her wealth of experience every time they visit.
