SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is…Jessie🤩!! This lovely girl came to us after knee surgery, and we’ve been working hard each week to help her rebuild strength and confidence using her leg, with the support from her lovely mum 🧡

She’s already built up 3 cm of muscle in her operated leg, and this week she smashed her very first pool session! 🌟

Jessie takes everything in her stride and is such a joy to treat. We’re so proud of how far she’s come! ⭐️See you soon lovely girl!🐶🥰🤩🐾🧡💙

Come and join us at the Danaher open day this Sunday 31st August 11-4pm! We have a stall and will be answering all questions about hydrotherapy and how your pet can benefit. Both myself and Katie have previously worked for the charity (that’s how we met… 10 years ago!) and now we help them with providing treatment for dogs in need🥰. Pictured are Balloo and Elvis two dogs we are currently helping 🧡. We are happy to also take any donations if any of our current clients wish to donate anything, or if anyone else wishes to drop anything off at the centre, we have some already to take-thank you!😊

🐾 Meet Elvis!

Elvis is a very sweet boy currently with the RSPCA Danaher Animal Home and still searching for his forever family. He’s the soppiest and most laid-back boy who takes life in his stride and has so much love to give, despite having a really tough start to life 💙

Some of you have already heard about Elvis, and a few of you have even been lucky enough to meet him during his visits here 🐶

We’ve been offering Elvis weekly hydrotherapy sessions free of charge to help him build muscle strength, improve his joint mobility and give him a break from kennel life. It's been amazing to see his confidence grow 🌟

✨ Happy Bank Holiday everyone! ✨

While lots of you have been enjoying the long weekend, I’ve been down at the centre both Sunday & today giving Aqua Paws a well-deserved freshen up 🐾💦! A big thanks to my partner Marcus for helping me out on Sunday❤️

✔️Deep cleaned
✔️ Freshly painted floors and walls
✔️ Brand new mats
✔️ Toy boxes filled with fun new toys
✔️ Endless treats stocked up!

Running a business isn’t always easy (and switching off is pretty impossible 😅) but I truly love what I do – and it feels so good to see Aqua Paws looking clean, fresh & ready after what has been an amazing (almost year!!) of being open. 💙

I hope you’ve all had a lovely bank holiday weekend! We can’t wait to see you all this week and meet some new faces too! 🐶🐾 All messages will be replied to tomorrow I’m off to put my feet up and enjoy the rest of the sun with a glass of gin!🍹☀️

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is…Milo🤩!! This gorgeous boy has been working so hard and deserves the spotlight this week! ✨

Milo has been attending sessions with us to help strengthen his muscles following a recent surgery for luxating patellas. He’s come such a long way, not only physically, but in confidence too! Originally scared of water he is now happy to come off the platform by himself and enjoys playing with a ball in the pool! 🩵

Every session, Milo gives his all and brings so much enthusiasm to the sessions. He’s an absolute pleasure to have with us, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress he’s made! 🌟

Well done, Milo, keep up the amazing work! 🐶🥰🤩🐾🧡💙

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK 💙

This handsome boy is Teddy and he has been swimming with us for some time now. Teddy first came to Aqua Paws with some lameness in his hind legs, but with his hard work and the wonderful support from his family, he’s made a brilliant recovery! 🧡

Now, Teddy comes along to maintain his health and fitness, and he absolutely aces every treadmill session. He also loves a cuddle during his rest breaks! He is such a delight to have in 🐾

We’re so proud of how far he’s come! Well done, Teddy! 🌟🐶

Happy 10th birthday to my beautiful boy and the CEO of Aqua Paws💙🧡🐾

Not quite the birthday I had planned for you after an emergency vet trip a few days ago due to spinal issues I know we need to take it easy and we will do just that❤️‍🩹. Thank you to everyone who has wished him well, we are slowly recovering. Scooby as many of you will know is my whole world, the reason I became a hydrotherapist and my very reason for setting up Aqua Paws. I am forever grateful for everything he has taught me and is still teaching me. There aren’t enough words to describe how much he means to me. Fingers crossed he continues to improve so we can enjoy his birthday weekend away in Norfolk. ✨ Here’s to a chilled day, a steak à la carte meal🥩 and to living forever!❤️❤️❤️

⚠️ Session Update – Heat Advisory

Due to today’s extreme heat, we will be cancelling all sessions after 12:30pm.
The dog’s welfare will always be our top priority, and we do not deem it safe or necessary to bring them out in these conditions.

Exercising in this heat raises their heart rates and can put them at risk when returning to an already hot environment something we won’t take chances with especially with those older pups!

We’ll be in touch with anyone whose sessions need to be rearranged.
Stay safe, stay hydrated, and keep cool everyone! 🐾☀️💧

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is…Widget🤩!! Widget has been attending regular hydrotherapy in the pool and underwater treadmill to help keep him mobile in his golden years!

Hydrotherapy is a great way to highlight any weaknesses and spot any areas that might need a little extra attention. Early on, we noticed Widget had a weakness in his left hind leg — but thanks to his regular swims, this has improved so much! 💪💦

These days, he’s keeping up with his younger friends on their walks, proving that age is just a number! Widget is an absolute joy to work with. He soaks up all the cuddles, laps up the attention (and squeezy cheese 🧀) and from time to time, he’s even confident enough to hop off the platform all by himself! We couldn’t be prouder of how well he’s doing. 💛🐾 Looking forward to seeing you again soon lovely boy!🥰🤩🐾🧡💙

We recently welcomed the lovely Lola to Aqua Paws. She is joining us following cruciate disease and is here to strengthen her legs and re-educate her gait as part of her recovery journey 💙

Lola absolutely aced her first treadmill session, it was like she’d done it all before! We’re so proud of her and can’t wait to see her progress ✨
