January is off to a flying start and I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has been in touch over the holiday period, I appreciate you waiting patiently while I got some well earned R+R (Self-care is important for all of us, right?)

I believe I have spoken to everyone now but if you are still waiting to hear back from me, please give me a nudge :)

Sessions continue to be online only for the foreseeable future, but after months of monitoring I can confidently say the results are just as good as in-person, and lots of people are telling me they actually prefer the online sessions for a variety of reasons.

If you're still considering making a change to your life but haven't quite decided to dive in yet, get in touch for an informal chat, with no obligation to book. I don't do hard sell and will be happy to answer questions to help you get to the point where you can decide on the best way forward.

The EADT has published an article about my online hypnotherapy work via Zoom, which is how I've been working with clients since the beginning of lockdown.

I'm really enjoying working this way, the results are just as good and feedback from clients has been great. I actually like this way of working so much that I'm going to stick with it as my primary way of working, even when social distancing measures are lifted.

A hypnotist from Sudbury is using modern technology during the coronavirus crisis to work his magic online, instead of in person.

Anyone who has followed my social media for any time will know that I’m an ardent and often vocal fan of the NHS. They are providing an essential and literally life-saving service at all times, but supporting the people who work within this wonderful organisation is especially important right now.

Because of this, I have decided to offer hypnotherapy for stress and anxiety, free of charge to anyone working on the frontline of the NHS in the fight against coronavirus.

Sessions will be conducted via Zoom or Skype and will be entirely free to NHS frontline staff.

If you are working in this environment and finding it difficult to cope, or just feeling the pressure and in need of some relief, please get in touch. And if someone you know is working for the NHS and you think this might be of help to them, please pass my details on to them. I will be happy to help if I can.

Due to the current Corona Virus advice to limit contact as much as possible, I am encouraging clients to work with me via Skype/Zoom for the time being.

Hypnotherapy sessions via the Internet are just as effective as ‘in-person’ sessions. The few minor challenges of working this way are easily overcome, and there are actually some advantages.

Just been listening to the Akasha Talks podcast, with Lance Baker talking to The Elmans.

Lance's podcast is great anyway but, for obvious reasons, this one was especially interesting!

It gives a good idea of the sorts of things that will be covered during The Elman's upcoming UK tour, so this is well worth a listen/watch if you're thinking of coming.

NOTE: the Sudbury event is in Sudbury, Suffolk, not Sudbury in north London. I'm about an hour north of London, depending on which bit you're coming from.

I just added a page about self hypnosis to the website. I've been teaching clients how to self hypnotise for quite a while and find it a really useful adjunct to the work we do in sessions.

The most excellent Tim Box talking about his area of expertise, anxiety.

Although this talk is primarily about anxiety, the analogy he uses here is a great example of how to understand many of our uncomfortable feelings, and how to overcome the barriers and limitations we put in our own path.
