❄️ Vehicle Air Con Not Working? Here’s Why We Don’t Just “Try It”… ❄️

This vehicle came in with an A/C complaint — no cold air. On inspection, the system had very little to no refrigerant in it. On closer examination (see photos), we found an obvious leak on the A/C condenser, confirmed with a nitrogen test.

Here’s the truth a lot of places won’t tell you:
Too many drivers pay for a re-gas, only for the A/C to stop working again a few days or weeks later. That’s because if a system has lost most or all of its gas, there’s a leak — and recharging it without fixing the fault is just throwing money away.

💡 The industry-accepted standard is that a modern vehicle A/C system may lose around 10-15% of its refrigerant per year under normal conditions. That’s a slow, natural loss. But if the system is empty, that’s not wear and tear — that’s a fault.

At Automotion Diagnostics, if your car’s A/C system is nearly empty, we don’t just “try it and see” — we pressure test with nitrogen to locate the leak properly, then advise accordingly. Only then do we recharge the system, ensuring you get lasting performance and value.

If your air con’s packed in — don’t waste your time and money guessing. Book in with us, and let’s fix it properly the first time.

“Main Dealer Missed It. We Found It.”

This Golf had already been to the main dealer. Their diagnosis? Replace the front differential lock module. The customer paid for the new part — and guess what? The fault was still there.

At Automotion Diagnostics, we have a different approach: test, don’t guess.
• Power? ✅
• Grounds? ✅
• CAN lines? ✅
• But no wake-up signal…

After a thorough trace, we found a single broken wire in the engine bay loom — something no module was going to fix. We repaired it to OEM spec, restored communication, cleared all faults, and road-tested the car with a clean bill of health.

No more warning lights. No wasted money. Just proper diagnostics.

If you’re tired of throwing parts at a problem — or paying others to do it — bring it to us. We’ll find the real fault, not just the first excuse.

This VW EOS arrived at our workshop after another garage had thrown in the towel. The car was dropping into limp mode and flashing the coil warning light whenever power was demanded. Making matters more challenging—there were no fault codes to guide us. It didn’t help that the previous garage had cleared all logged fault codes, removing valuable diagnostic clues.

During our road test, it became clear the turbo wasn’t delivering the required boost. Our live data monitoring (red trace = specified boost, green trace = actual boost) showed a significant discrepancy.

We conducted a smoke test on the intake system—no leaks found. So, we shifted focus to the turbo control system and quickly identified an issue: the vacuum to the turbo actuator was weak. Clamping the hose to the turbo actuator restored full vacuum, confirming our suspicion—the diaphragm inside the actuator was split.

After replacing and setting up the new turbo actuator, we restored full power and performance!

Another successful diagnosis and repair—keeping you moving smoothly.

🔧🚗 Complex Electrical Fault? No Problem! 🚗🔧

This vehicle arrived with an unusual issue—its electronic park brake would engage but refused to release. A simple fix? Not quite. After an in-depth diagnostic process and extensive interior disassembly, we discovered the root cause: the switch wasn’t sending a release signal to the park control module.

Digging deeper, we traced the missing signal to a hidden fault—a broken wire buried behind the dashboard. These types of electrical gremlins can be frustrating and difficult to pinpoint, but with the right expertise and methodical troubleshooting, we were able to restore full functionality.

Modern vehicles are packed with complex electronic systems, and even a single damaged wire can cause major headaches. If you’re dealing with electrical issues, trust our team to get to the source and get you back on the road with confidence!

Ford B-Max Intermittent Cutting Out & EML Fault – Diagnosed!

This Ford B-Max came to us with multiple issues—sometimes cutting out unexpectedly, other times just throwing on the EML while driving fine. After scanning for faults, all signs pointed towards an ECU issue.

We traced the problem to loose pins on the ECU board itself. A classic case of internal connection failure causing all sorts of intermittent headaches!

If you’ve got similar symptoms—random cutouts, warning lights, or unexplained faults—it might not just be a sensor or wiring issue. Always worth checking the ECU connections before replacing expensive parts! 🔧💡
