Today, we kicked off our first Bring a Plate Day of 2026! Each of us picked a category from the pot—main dish, side dish, dessert, drink, or crisps and brought in delicious treats, turning the office into a buffet of flavours from around the world. 🌍

This was a reminder that nothing brings people together quite like good food and great company. 😋💛

Another fantastic quarterly carer's team meeting with our amazing ! 💙

We kicked things off with a lovely lunch, giving our carers the chance to relax and connect before diving into an informative and engaging session.

Our dedicated Care Manager, Donna and Operations Manager, Sarah, led the meeting, sharing key updates, best practices and keeping everyone in the loop.

At Acacia, we believe that a supported and well informed team provides the most compassionate care. Plus, a team lunch was the perfect way to say "thank you" to our carers for their incredible hard work ! 🥪🍕

An opportunity has arisen for an 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 to join our Acacia Homecare team and be part of an administrative team. The role would include the need to provide an effective and professional service working closely with the Operations Manager and the different service leads to ensure that head office requirements are met.

𝗔𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:
• Ensuring that paper and computer records are kept up to date
• Rota planning for the following week – ensuring all schedules are sent out every week for our customers and care staff
• Collection and collation of data and maintenance of internal databases
• Looking through CV’s and responding to applicants
• Conducting brief telephone interviews
• Organising face-to-face interviews
• Ad-hoc office duties e.g. filing, scanning and photocopying
• Dealing with postal requirements
• Greeting visitors
• Participation with the emergency on-call rota
• Supporting marketing and social media

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱:
• An excellent level of written and verbal communication skills
• You will have strong team working skills but be able to work on your own initiative
• Organisational skills will be key to managing the activity of the office
• The ability to follow and maintain set systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Today has us reminiscing about a cold, wet winter’s day when Di and Gita were out supporting the amazing Spelthorne Hub. As people came along looking for work and advice, we were there handing out FREE hot chocolates to help keep everyone warm ☕️💙
