📢 Important Notice for Our Patients

We are currently facing staffing shortages. This may mean:

*Longer waiting times*
*Delays in answering calls*
*Fewer appointments available*
*Slower responses to routine queries*

We wanted to reassure patients that we are taking steps to improve access, safety and the overall experience at the practice.

Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to stabilise our workforce and strengthen our services. We are:

* Actively recruiting new team members and increasing the number of staff answering the telephones

*Increasing clinical capacity with extra GP, nurse and long-term condition review appointments

*Strengthening our management and administration teams

*Reducing backlogs and ensuring urgent items are prioritised

🌟 Changes to How You Order Prescriptions 🌟

To help us manage calls more safely and efficiently, from 1 March we’ll only be able to take prescription requests by phone between 2pm and 4pm.

We’d love for patients to use the NHS App for repeat prescriptions — it’s quick, easy, and available anytime.

📅 And from 1 September, we’ll no longer be able to accept prescription requests by telephone.

We know digital services don’t work for everyone, and that’s completely okay. If you’re unable to use the NHS App due to disability, language, literacy, or access to technology, we can offer reasonable adjustments, including:

✔ Ordering through your nominated pharmacy
✔ Using a paper repeat slip at reception
✔ Asking a nominated person to order on your behalf

If you need help or aren’t sure what option is best for you, our team is always here to support you.

We have a flu clinic on all day today until 5pm and there are still plenty treats for sale.

To raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support we are hosting a cake bake sale Wednesday 1st October at the surgery.
Please pop in to buy some baked goods and sweet treats and help us to raise even more than last years amount of £215.25!

Important notice for female patients aged 25-64!

From September, the NHS plans to start sending results from the NHS Cervical Screening Programme via the NHS App.

In September, those who have a negative test result will be notified of this by an NHS App message and notification.
If the NHS App message isn’t read within 72 hours, a letter will be sent as a failsafe.

Abnormal result letters will continue for the time being to be delivered by post.

If you don't have the NHS App, please download and switch on notifications

If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery.
