While most remembered for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hooper also directed the seminal TV horror, Salems Lot - one of the first genuinely frightening TV miniseries from the late 1970s. You'll hear more about that in the horror TV lecture.

The master of horror, who also directed Poltergeist and TV miniseries Salem's Lot, dies at 74.
