This is our inspirational Jade here’s her story
After I gave birth in September 2023, I didn't recognise myself at all, I had put on over 5 stone during the pregnancy and it was climbing at a rapid rate. I decided to rejoin Slimming World as I was unhappy with the way I looked in photos, to the point I would refuse having my photo taken with my daughter. My health was at risk too, I was told that I would get type 2 diabetes in the next year if I didn't change the way I lived. A few years ago I lost 3 stone while following the plan, so I knew it worked and decided to give it another go, but with even more determination than before.
Throughout my 72 weeks at Slimming World, I've had my personal ups and downs, however, I've pushed through 5st 9lbs lighter I love our group and I'm only 1st 5lbs from target! I've always enjoyed the plan and its versatility. There's always another option to the comfort foods I used to binge on before starting my journey. My favorite meal at the moment is chilli with salad, very filling and packed with loads of speed food!
I have so much more energy to play with my daughter now and it's such a weight off my shoulders knowing I can be there for her without worrying anymore. I'm 3 dress sizes smaller now too and nothing beats the feeling of just grabbing an outfit and feeling amazing in it!
