NHS Health Checks

Are you aged 40-74 years old and DO NOT have a pre-existing condition such as heart disease, heart failure, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease or are being treated for high blood pressure or cholesterol. If yes you are eligible for a free NHS health check. Tests include blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar tests, kidney and liver function tests, height and weight and a lifestyle questionnaire, the first part of your appointment will be with the Health Care Assistant. Once we have all of the results of your tests we can then calculate your risk of developing heart problems or diabetes etc.

We can then put all measures in place to prevent any early developments of the above chronic diseases. Dependent on the results of your tests you may need a second appointment with our Nursing Team .

Remember early prevention has better outcomes.

Due to weather conditions you may experience some disruption during clinic appointment times. Potential cause could be delays in patients commuting to there appointments causing potential delays in the smooth running of our clinics. We also need to consider our staff who need to travel in safely.
