UTIs (cystitis/water infection) are infections of the urinary tract that are sometimes treated with antibiotics. This service is advised for common UTIs in women only. For men, it is recommended to consult with their GP first as men have a higher risk of complication.

Patient announcement

The road from Wells Pharmacy to the church past the surgery will be closed for the foreseable future. The footpaths will be open but access will be via diversions and limited. The surgery is open as usual. This is due to essential gas works on the main road. We ask for patience at this time the workmen are working as quickly as they can.

The weight loss injection Mounjaro will be available for a small number of patients through the NHS. Please do not contact us about this immediately as the pathway has not been set up. We will update this page when the pathway is in place. Please note ONLY patients with a BMI of 40+ AND at least 4 of the following conditions will be eligible: high blood pressure; high cholesterol; heart disease; sleep apnea; type 2 diabetes.

If you are calling about the Mounjaro injection we are not able to take any phone queries on this at the moment. For more information we will update our Facebook and phone lines and any other social media platforms. Please use these platforms for further updates as we need to to try and shield the tsunami of requests since yesterday’s announcement!

12,000 people a day in the UK attend their cervical screening and 90% of results are perfectly normal. Cervical screening is free, the test only takes 5 minutes and will always be completed by a female nurse. When your invite comes, don’t delay - book your appointment that day. Cervical screening is offered to women from the ages of 25 to 64. It looks for abnormal cells in the cervix which might become cancer if left untreated. The test involves using a soft brush to take a sample of cells from the surface of your cervix. Cervical screening used to be called a ‘smear

📣 PATIENT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

Please note the Surgery will be CLOSED on Wednesday 18th June 2025 from 1pm for Staff Training purposes. We will resume normal opening times on Thursday 19th June and reopen at 8.30am. If you need medical attention contact 111 they will advise and direct you to the appropriate services.

Can we please make patients aware that there are road works near the Bangladeshi Centre up to the turn in for the car park on Tatham Street, the road is closed. The road outside the surgery up to Wells pharmacy is open as normal.

We would like to make you aware of an event taking place Monday 24th March 1-3pm at the Hendon Health hub. This event is to raise awareness and the importance of cervical screening to all those who are eligable. The team will help to answer your questions about screening and dispell the stiga around smears. You can just turn up no booking needed, free refreshments provided.

From Monday 3rd March 2025 our Prescription telephone line opening hours will be changing.
They will now be open 10am - 1pm (no longer 10am - 2pm)

We encourage all patients who use a smart phone to download the NHS app , from here you can order prescriptions at anytime as well as view appointments and test results etc

Alternatively you can order prescriptions at main reception within surgery opening hours
