Time for a clear out with a cause!🧹🏡

Sort out the shed, tidy up the garage, and take a peek in the loft… South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is asking for your help to return walking aids that are no longer in use.

If you’ve got crutches, sticks or zimmer frames tucked away, why not give them a second life?

📍 Drop-off points are now open at:
✅ Sunderland Royal Hospital
✅ South Tyneside District Hospital

Each item will be checked, cleaned, and repaired if needed - ready to support another patient on their journey to recovery.

Cervical screening is free, the test only takes 5 minutes and will always be completed by a female nurse. When your invite comes, don’t delay - book your appointment that day. For more information visit the website ➡️ screeningsaveslives.co.uk/cervical-screening or speak to your GP practice.

Cervical screening is offered to women from the ages of 25 to 64. It looks for abnormal cells in the cervix which might become cancer if left untreated. The test involves using a soft brush to take a sample of cells from the surface of your cervix. Cervical screening used to be called a ‘smear
