In 2021, Hannah Brown, a 26-year-old farmer, tragically lost her life to sepsis. Since then, her family has helped create an incredible legacy in her name: our farming awareness campaign, delivered in partnership with NFU Mutual.

Farmers and labourers are at increased risk of infection, and recent experience suggests that the farming community is more susceptible to sepsis due to the nature of their work, their resilience, can-do attitude, often rural setting, and reluctance to take time off or seek medical attention.

As this week is Farming Safety Week, we wanted to spotlight our campaign — one that's been created to empower the farming community to recognise and respond to the dangers of sepsis.

As sensitive beings and a profound blessing to humankind, animals enrich our lives in countless ways. It is our duty to care for them, to treat them with kindness, compassion, and tenderness, and to honor the silent love and loyalty they so selflessly offer. Let us cherish and protect these gentle souls, for they are not just part of our world they are its heart.
