Tonight, we’ll be learning a gentle meditation designed to calm your central nervous system and bring balance back to your mind and body.

You've already done the work—journaling, meditating, repeating affirmations—but sometimes, it still feels like something's stuck. Like your body is bracing for impact, even when everything seems okay.

Trauma and challenge imprints on your nervous system. That knot in your stomach, the sudden wave of panic, the urge to shut down or disappear, these are your body’s ways of protecting you, the only way it knows how.

Tonights meditation technique goes beyond just changing thoughts. It speaks the language of the body, offering guided exercises to help you release stored trauma, restore regulation, and cultivate a felt sense of safety from within. It will help you gently reconnect with your body, soothe your nervous system, and foster a sense of calm and safety. No force needed—just your willingness to listen and be present.

In this session, we’ll explore how to develop a consistent meditation routine that sticks, focusing on practical tips and gentle guidance. We’ll start with a brief introduction and an easy stretch to get comfortable.

This week’s practice will include:
✨ A guided session on Seven Point Posture meditation, where we’ll focus on breathing and attention on seven key points of the body, legs, back, arms, hands, neck, jaw, and eyes, using counting to deepen focus.
✨ An introduction to Walking Meditation, a mindful movement practice perfect for those who find sitting still challenging. We’ll concentrate on the journey, not the destination, embracing movement as a form of meditation.

Key topics we’ll cover:
How long it takes to form a new habit (roughly 21 days or more!)
The importance of consistency and sticking with a meditation style that works for you—whether it’s the same every day or varied to stay motivated
Different styles of meditation: mindfulness, concentration, insight, and movement
Tips to avoid self-criticism and embrace meditation as a lifelong practice
The subtle, gradual benefits that come with regular practice—sometimes noticed by others before you realise it yourself

We’ll conclude with an opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and set a weekly challenge. Making a verbal commitment helps build accountability and keeps us on track.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned meditator, this session is a wonderful chance to deepen your practice and make meditation a joyful, healthy habit.

A Day in the life of a Joyful Mind Mentor.

Today my day was a beautiful mix of connection, wellness, and relaxation. It all started with a lovely breakfast outing with friends and colleagues, Lovely Janette Tisseman and Adventurer Jo Brown. We took our 2 Davids Jo's partner is a David too we shared stories and laughter.

We then we had a dip in the North Sea. With the warm sun the cool waters of the sea were definitely invigorating for both my body and spirit.

After lunch and more great conversation and I met with with a client online. I guided them through a meaningful consultation and session. I do get immense fulfillment, knowing I am helping them on their journey towards inner peace and emotional well-being.

I posted out my new Eazzy Slim Trauma Informed Emotional Balance programme today, a brand new seven-week programme designed to assist individuals dealing with weight issues connected to body violation or traumatic experiences. It's a holistic approach aimed at promoting emotional balance and wellness. Excited to see how it positively impacts those who enroll!

And as the day draws to a close, I am snuggling up with my husband for some TV time chill and togetherness.
