MAG'S STORY

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Over 55,000 women and 390 men a year are diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet around a third of these cases are preventable.

Breast Cancer UK is working to prevent breast cancer through education, scientific research, collaboration and policy change.

Breast Cancer UK provides practical advice and tips on how we can reduce our risk. They campaign for changes to national health policies to support prevention, and fund research to help improve our understanding of how to stop the disease.

My family has been affected by breast Cancer for the last 40 years, I myself am a survivor of breast cancer ( 20 years and still going strong) and now my 33 year old niece has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and is now starting the battle against this disease. I want to show my support to her by shaving my head and hopefully raising some money to give back to breast Cancer UK to help others starting their journey

STOP SEPSIS SAVE LIVES

World Sepsis Day takes place on the 13th of September each year. This important awareness day aims to raise global awareness about sepsis, a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to infection causes tissue damage, organ failure, or death. Sepsis can affect anyone, but it is particularly dangerous for the very young, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Early recognition and prompt treatment are critical to improving outcomes for those affected by sepsis. It's the 2nd leading cause of death after cardiovascular disease, it affects millions globally each year.

As an ethical employee owned company, we regularly donate to local, national and international good causes. Here we share the sad story of Connor Edwards whose life has been devastated by a tick bite that led to terrible health issues. We have donated towards his treatment. If others could please share his story or help him in any way, this may help him to get the treatment he needs

Connor Edwards, 30, says he is "literally bedbound and wheelchair bound with a head that is falling off" after being bitten by a tick while mountain biking - and he desperately needs help
