Once you've buzzed in at Mackie’s Corner, head upstairs to the second floor. At the top of the stairs, take the door on the right, and you'll find the cozy waiting area, please wait here unless you’ve been asked to come straight to the room 🫶

🔔 Getting In: Using the Intratone Intercom 🚪✨

When you arrive at Mackie’s Corner, you’ll see an Intratone intercom panel to the left of the entrance. Simply:

1️⃣ Scroll to The Voice Centre
2️⃣ Press the 🔔 call button
3️⃣ You’ll be buzzed in

❗ Please don’t follow someone in—this helps keep our space safe for everyone.

Once inside, head up to Room 5 on the second floor and make yourself comfortable in our waiting area. Please refrain from knocking if you are early even by a few minutes as there may be another client inside. We’ll be with you shortly! 🤍

📍 Location: The Co.llective - Room 5, Mackie’s Corner, Sunderland SR1 1TX
🔔 Access: Use the intercom to the right of the door and buzz ‘The Voice Centre’ to enter. Please don’t follow someone in or your practitioner won’t know you have arrived.
⬆️ Second Floor: Head upstairs, take the door on the right, and make yourself comfortable in our waiting area.
✊ Please don’t knock on the door, especially if you are early as there may already be a client in the room, unless asked to come straight to the room please make yourself comfortable in the waiting area.

RESCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT 🗓️

Sometimes things come up! If you have to reschedule your appointment please use the link in your email to cancel your appointment and rebook, so the appointment can go back on the link for those waiting for appointments.

As long as you are within our 48 hour window you will be able to reschedule, if it is after that, you will not be able to cancel in line with our cancellation policy. Please email so your practitioner knows you won’t be attending.

Please ensure you use the link to reschedule as if you try to rebook later you will have to pay another deposit and it will not be refunded.

Change, it can be so many things.

It can be scary, exciting, refreshing, nerve wracking, and sometimes it’s all of that and more.

Sometimes it’s just what’s needed.

Since the voice centre was established 1st August 2022 there have already been many changes. New logo, new location, new outlook.

And now we are about to welcome one of the biggest changes of all - in stages.

HOW TO FIND THE VOICE CENTRE👇

The Voice Centre is based in The Co.llective on the second floor in Mackie’s Corner on High Street West, right in the heart of Sunderland! Think the north east west end!

Swipe along to find instructions on how to get here!

When you arrive, please call on the intratone and you’ll be let in. Please don’t head in if someone is on their way out, you must call The Voice Centre on the intratone so your practitioner knows you have arrived. After this head up to level 2, either via lift or stairs and take a seat in the waiting area and you’ll be collected when the practitioner is ready for you!

A few weeks ago I was asked to present for a group of speech language therapist about Ehlers Danlos Sydrome and hypermobile spectrum disorder and the impacts it can have on the voice.

What a fantastic group, curiosity and kindness is so important. Such an inquisitive group who want to learn and add to their practice!

This work is so truly important, thank you for being part of the movement 🦓🫶
