Drawing and Talking is a child-centred one to one intervention focusing on supporting the social and emotional well-being of children and young people. Drawing and Talking Therapy is the number one alternative to CBT or direct talking therapies and interventions that can often be confronting or limiting in the processing of emotional pain.
It is a safe and gentle therapeutic approach, which prov
ides an effective way for children and young people to process emotional pain they may be experiencing. It’s a 12 week intervention, meeting the client for 30 minutes on the same day, same time, same place each week. Based on Jungian principles in child psychology theory the child/young person will be guided through the power of healing. After completion of Drawing and Talking Therapy, individuals have been proven to be more able to control their emotions and most importantly have higher self-esteem, this allows them to thrive in the world around them.
