It's based on science!

HYPNOBIRTHING IS NOT TOXIC POSITIVITY!

There are so many misconceptions about hypnobirthing…

Things I’ve heard in my 11 years of teaching are;

⭐It sets unrealistic expectations for birth (this depends on the method but as far as TCBS is concerned it’s not true)

⭐You aren’t allowed to talk about pain (again it depends on the method but we aren’t scared of the P word!)

⭐ It’s for home births (you can do Hypnobirthing no matter where you decide to give birth)

⭐ It’s for vaginal births (it’s also for abdominal births)

⭐ Its too woo-woo and not based in anything substantial (🙄 please)

⭐“Are we going to do yoga?” Said by the male partner of one of my clients 😂

⭐I don’t want someone to control or read my mind (me neither and I can confirm that doesn’t happen!)

⭐I can’t relax, so I can’t do hypnobirthing (relaxation is a skill that we can help you to learn)

What myths have you heard about hypnobirthing?

I’d love to know ❤️

All Active Sunderland require for the walk is a health questionnaire, to let the walk leaders know if any of the participants have any medical conditions.
