Our Healthy Minds (South Tyneside) and Healthy Heads (Sunderland) Mental Health Support Teams are hosting their next free parent/carer webinar on Tuesday 24th March at 6pm.

The focus of this webinar will be 'Managing Difficult Behaviours' and is aimed at parents/carers who want some information on supporting their children and young people who are displaying challenging or difficult behaviours.

Sunderland Sexual Health Service are offering weekly drop clinics at Sunderland College every Wednesday. They alternate between City Campus and Bede Campus 10am - 2pm.

The team offer Contraception Counselling, Implants, Pills, Injections, C-Cards, Condoms, Pregnancy Tests and Sexual Health Tests to all students.

All delivered by a friendly team who are here to help!

🎄CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR OPENING HOURS 🎄
We would like to inform you of our opening times in order to allow plenty of time to order your prescriptions and be aware of service provisions over the festive period.
To ensure timely turn around for both the surgery and your pharmacy please can you try to use the following dates as a guide:
LAST PRESCRIPTION ORDER DATE FOR CHRISTMAS - Friday 19th December
LAST PRESCRIPTION ORDER DATE FOR NEW YEAR - Wednesday 24th December
It is your responsibility to ensure you have enough medication to cover you over this festive period and we no longer take prescriptions over the telephone.

To order your medication please use the NHS app or pop into surgery for our red box at the main door.

*BRAND NEW INSTALLED THIS WEEK*
We now have a Patient Pod installed in our waiting area.

The patient pod will measure and record the following:
• Blood Pressure
• Pulse Rate
• Weight
• Height
• Body Mass index

The monitors are extremely user friendly, with visual and audio step by step instructions, saving appointment times and having your measurements taken at a time convenient to you.

The information will then be reviewed by a clinician and all findings will be automatically record in the patient records. If the clinician need to follow up on any of the results a member of the
practice team will contact the patient directly.

Every time you come for an appointment, arrive 15 minutes early (10 minutes to rest) and go and use the POD.

You don’t need an appointment.

The team will be on hand to help you use it especially if its your first time.

Our aim is for every patient over 18 years of age to use the POD at least once a year.
