A big hello to all our Springfield family👋
We’ve enjoyed socialising with friends today, we started with ladies and gents clubs this morning. Knit and natter for our ladies while the gents chose a book to start on. Refreshments and good conversation amongst friends to finish a busy morning. We then had 1 to 1 room socials, movie matinee for some relaxation time and family visits.
This afternoon we engaged 1 to 1 in read and reminisce, promoting cognitive stimulation and social inclusion. We had a visit from the Springfield sweet shop, chose a movie and caught up on up and coming events!!
The Halloween preparations are coming along nicely...It’s sure to be a very spooky party this Friday and again next week for staff and residents fancy dress! Exciting times ahead… stay tuned for decor updates!

Good afternoon and happy Saturday everyone 👋
Saturday socials at Springfield started with our church service at home. Hymns chosen by our residents, prayers to give thanks and good conversation with friends. The coffee morning is a weekly get together to chat, share a laugh and enjoy a coffee and cake. Followed by movie matinee this afternoon, feet up after a busy week of amazing therapies and social activity at our beautiful home.

Happy Friday everyone 💛🎃👻
We started our day with sensory fitness, music and movement therapy. Sing alongs, tailored seated exercise and laughter while making music. So much fun had by all. Promoting… health and wellbeing, upper body strengthening, cognitive function and most of all enjoyment.
We stopped for refreshments and some energy boosting snacks, delicious!! We finished our session with instruments and some 70s disco music for a seated jive!
1 to 1 read and reminisce from our wide selection of specialist dementia books, music, culture, famous faces are a great 1 to 1 conversation starter and offer cognitive stimulation.
This afternoon we had Halloween movies in the cinema and creative craft club. We made a start on our Halloween crafts today, as you know we go all out on our crafts at Springfield and it’s a firm favourite group therapy. Some amazing wood crafting, canvas work, fabric wreaths and perfect choice of colours selected. A beautiful job done by all. Perfect for our party tables.

Good evening all👋
What a fantastic day we’ve had at our end of summer Springfield party. Brian, you certainly entertained us all, thankyou so much! Staff and residents karaoke went down well again today, it was so much fun with smiles and laughter all round! 🎼 We sang our hearts out and danced all afternoon to the fabulous singers.... great times for sure 💃🕺💃🕺.
This morning we had 1 to 1 colour consultations in the salon for restyles booked in next week, cut and blow waves to make our ladies feel beautiful ready for party afternoon. A fun packed party afternoon while some of our residents chose to relax and watch a movie and have 1 to 1 time with family 👌😍.

Good afternoon everyone 🧡
We are getting into the Halloween spirit here at Springfield, with raffle hampers, spooky decorations and creative craft preparations. We love the spooky season!!! We’ve had a very busy day designing, preparing and socialising in 1 to 1s, group table tennis, a spot of retail therapy and Halloween movies!

Good evening from Springfield, residents and staff👋🩷
We’ve had a fun filled day of active games, cognitive music sing along quiz time and out door strolls 1 to 1 engagement. We’ve enjoyed the VIP treatment with our stylist in the salon… Carole being made very special and of course looking amazing. What a confidence boost it gives everyone having the salon experience. We are ready now to relax, catch up on some tv with a cuppa. Today with Carole and Kathleen 🌸😍☕️🎼🦋🩷
