💚Meet the Team💚
Westhome would like to introduce our staff and will post different staff members each week.
This is our Care Plan Assessor Denise West.
Denise has worked for Westhome Care Services for 6 years. Before this Denise worked in a pharmacy as an ACT (Accuracy Checking Technician) for 15 years! And a dispenser before that. Denise’s knowledge of medication is so important for our care planning and medication assessments.
At home Denise loves gardening, she has an amazing allotment and grows her own fruit and veg. She also loves making hanging baskets and growing various plants and flowers.
Denise also loves cooking; her curry recipes are famous! She loves socialising and catching up with old friends – even some bike riding here and there.
Here at Westhome, Denise plays such a very important role making our care plans - she meets with our new service users and families to gain knowledge and understanding on how best to support them – through the daily care, medication, companionship needs etc, she also carries out important risk assessments to ensure homes are safe for both service users and staff.
Denise is usually the first face our service users see from Westhome – and she ensures she gives them all right information and assurance that is needed.
Denise is a well-loved member of staff, and we are very lucky to have her here.

“Westhome is a nice, friendly, family organisation – everyone working together and has such team spirit. I love going out to meet our service users and learning about people’s lives. I love being able to give information that they need to support them at home. I always follow up on our service users, making sure things are going well”
Can you share a moment here that truly touched your heart?
“There are many times Westhome has received good feedback from family, such as through thank you cards, letters, emails and just a telephone call. All thanking us for the support they have received - this makes me feel that I am doing something so rewarding and special, it really makes this job worthwhile – it is so fulfilling, and I am very proud to be working here”.
