Thursday 6.30pm St Micheals community centre
And Fridays qi gong at Tesco community room 10am plus
St Miichaels, gentle yoga , qi gong and mindfulness 12.30 are all still running as normal .

Qi gong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines slow, flowing movements, deep breathing, and focused intention to cultivate and balance the body's "qi" or vital life energy. Its movements are similar to tai chi , but it is easier to learn , it is a health based practice , not a martial art.

Qigong can help with anxiety by using gentle movements, deep breathing, and mindfulness to reduce stress and promote relaxation. This practice can help you focus on the present moment, which may decrease anxious thoughts. By combining coordinated body posture, breathing, and mental focus, Qigong can lead to a state of calmness and peace, and is considered an effective add-on therapy for anxiety.

Fridays , holistic class , we use gentle chair yoga, as a warm up , then practice qi gong , a gentle movement for mind body and breath ( bit like tai ch) ,followed by mindfulness meditation , then we sit and have a tea, coffee , cake, biscuits , talk and laugh . This group is amazing . Its open to all, regardless of restrictions , it brings movement , calmness and friendship.if you would like to join just drop in , or message me .all equipment provided just bring yourself x

Qi Gong movements are similar to Tai Chi, its focus is on health and it is not a martial art. It is an ancient time tested practice that blends slow skilful movement , mindful absorption and breathing . This cultivation of the body , mind and breath has been practiced in China since the beginning of recorded history , as a way of improving health . It needs no special equipment , it is energy cultivation, and movement throughout the body , an effective method of reducing stress , promoting a relaxed body ,and a calm mind . It increases flexibility , strength, balance and general well being . It is generally performed standing but you can remain seated , Its slow flowing movements are repeated and easy to learn . Qi Gong is suitable for any age , any ability, it can be adapted to fit any need and brings health , calmness and holistic wellbeing to all.
