Restoring symmetry using Dermal fillers

Something many of my patients express at consultation.

Perfectly symmetrical lips are actually very rare. And most of us will natually have some degree of asymmetry.

Lip filler can be used to gently correct asymmetry, bringing balance and softness.

An asymmetrical lip isn’t something that always needs “fixing.” In many cases, it’s subtle and part of what makes your face unique. When we do treat, it’s not about creating perfection—it’s about softening balance while keeping the result natural. For this patient, overlining her lips are now a thing of the past.

Why I No Longer Offer Tear Trough Filler

A treatment Ive offered for several years but now choose to leave behind for several reasons.

Over time, both research and real clinical outcomes have shown this treatment doesn’t always behave as predictably as we once believed.

I’ve seen, and the evidence supports issues such as:

⚪️Persistent under-eye swelling
⚪️Filler sitting visibly under thin skin
⚪️Migration and long-term puffiness
⚪️Filler hanging around much longer than expected

Even with good technique, it often comes down to anatomy — not skill.

The truth is, very few patients are ideal candidates. Many concerns in this area are linked to fat pads, fluid retention, or skin laxity — where filler can actually make things worse.

While results can look fantastic initially, studies show complications often develop months, even years after treatment.

As a Nurse Prescriber, my role isn’t just to deliver results to my patients — it’s to protect them long-term. That means knowing what treatments are appropriate for my patients.

I now focus on safer, evidence-based treatments that improve skin quality and support the delicate under-eye area.

My priority is and always will be long-term results over quick fixes. And this can mean walking away from a treatment which no longer alignes with my practice.

Lip Filler Dissolve

My final clinic day before Christmas will be Tuesday 23rd - 9:00am–3:00pm.

This is a final opportunity to grab any last-minute gifts, including skincare and gift vouchers.

The clinic will then be closed for the Christmas and New Year period, reopening on Monday 5th January.
