🚲 Learn to Ride – 1-2-1 Cycling Training 🚲

Learning to ride a bike, accessible cycle or building confidence? Our 1-2-1 Learn to Ride sessions provide personalised support in a calm, safe and traffic-free environment.

These sessions are perfect for:
✅ Children or adults learning to ride for the first time
✅ Riders who only pedal backwards
✅ Riders with balance or coordination difficulties
✅ Riders lacking confidence or returning to cycling
✅ Disabled riders who may benefit from accessible cycles
✅ Anyone wanting extra support at their own pace

Our experienced British Cycling Coach Sara will work with you to build skills, confidence and independence while making cycling fun and achievable.

SEND Family Drop-In Session at JLYSG

We’re excited to be hosting a SEND Family Drop-In Session on
📅 Friday 27th February
⏰ 10:00am – 12:00pm

This is a relaxed and welcoming session for children and young people with SEND and their families to come along, explore the garden, and get to know the JLYSG team.

Our staff have over 20 years’ experience creating engaging and inclusive activities for children with SEND, and they’ll be on hand throughout the morning.

• Time to explore the garden
• Opportunities to chat with our staff
• A calm, supportive environment

With thanks to Sunderland and South Tynesides HAF programmes, we will be able to offer lot's of children a free packed lunch!

Lunches not covered by the programmes will be covered by Choice, so no child goes without 😊

Carers on the Move - 2026 Dates Now Released!🚶‍♀️🌳

Join us every third Thursday of the month at 10:30am for a relaxed, friendly walk around some of Sunderland’s beautiful local spots (with the exception of March, which is Wednesday 18th!)

Our walks last around 45 minutes, cater for all abilities, and usually end with an optional visit to a café for refreshments and a chat ☕

It’s a chance to get some fresh air, meet other carers, and take a well-deserved break in a supportive environment.

Whether you’ve walked with us before or are thinking of coming along for the first time, you’ll be made to feel very welcome🤗♥️
