Training in Action at Culture Care CIC! 🧤💪

It’s been a brilliant session as our amazing team of carers took part in a Moving & Handling training session, delivered in partnership with our sister company Prism Care.

This vital training marks an important step in our journey towards CQC registration and the upcoming launch of our care services.

As we build a workforce ready to serve ethnically diverse communities, we’re committed to equipping our carers not only with technical skills, but also with cultural sensitivity, confidence, and care ethics that truly reflect the people we support.

We’re proud to be laying the foundations for compassionate, community-rooted, and culturally appropriate care across Wearside and Tyneside.

This statement from SCIE highlights a critical challenge in health and social care reform.

The NHS 10-Year Plan’s ambitions to move care closer to home and focus on prevention are promising. But without properly recognising and investing in social care as an equal partner, these ambitions risk falling short.

Social care is essential ,
it supports people leaving hospital safely, helps them live well at home, and promotes independence and dignity.

If we want a truly proactive, community-led NHS, social care must be placed on a strong foundation of shared accountability, funding, and integrated planning.

At Culture Care CIC and Sunderland Bangladesh International Centre we witness daily how social care and culturally appropriate community support transform lives and reduce pressure on hospitals.

For the NHS to succeed, health and social care must be truly joined up, not just in words, but in practice and resources.

Thank you SCIE for raising these vital points and pushing for real partnership and investment.

It was such a pleasure to be part of the Community Arts Research Programme and to attend the Pitch and Pizza session yesterday 🎨 We really appreciated the opportunity to share our ideas with the group and to hear from others who have been part of the programme as well as having a taster session of what the artists have delivered to other organisations 🙌

We’re delighted to have been selected and are looking forward to working with an artist to deliver culturally appropriate sessions as part of our upcoming daycare programme 🧒🏽👵🏽🖌️

Isaac has been a powerful voice for change across health, social care and housing for over 25 years – consistently challenging inequality, stigma and injustice. We’re so proud to see their incredible work recognised in this way.

✨ What a day! We officially kicked off the Social Venture Academy. A 6-month journey to help Muslim-led organisations grow, lead, and create real, lasting impact.

It was amazing to meet such passionate changemakers doing incredible work across the UK , from faith-based education to economic justice, identity, and climate action. Feeling inspired and grateful to be part of this space. 💫
