The Holistic Hub North East Hi I'm Yvonne the owner of The Holistic Hub for Women, The Eagle Building Sunderland
Nice to meet You Hi I'm Yvonne and I have the best job in the world!!

I get to help people feel better in one way or another. I am highly trained and qualified in a wide range of therapies, all designed to benefit you: Clinical Hypnotherapy
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
The Bowen Technique ( very effective for aches and pains)
Reflexology
Reiki
Mindfulness & Meditation classes People often come to see me with a one problem

only to discover I am also able to help then with something else entirely. I specialise in helping women lead happier healthier lives by dealing with the physical and emotional pain they may be living with. You may be dealing with anxious thoughts, lack of self-belief, confidence issues, overwhelm, phobias or general low mood. You don't have to continue to feel this way, things can change. There are many different ways to change thoughts and feelings and I'm very skilled in helping you to do just that. For body aches and pains I'd recommend Bowen it's a gentle hands on therapy, which can help resolved long held tightness and tension in your body. Sciatica, frozen shoulder, neck pain and back pain, and many more all respond very well to Bowen treatments. If you like to know more, please give me a call on 07939499151 I'd be happy to answer your questions.

Do you wish your brain would just stop?
Do you find yourself overthinking everything?
My guess is you’re someone who feels they need to have their all of their ducks in a row before taking the next step, who is always worrying about what others think.
Worrying whether they have done the right thing?
Do you recognise any (or all) of that in yourself?
If you do, then you’re in the right place.
I’m creating an online membership that will give you the tools you need, to create a calmer happier life you can love.
Let me know if you’d like more information.

Hi, I’ve noticed quite a few new faces here lately, so I thought I’d say hi and tell you a bit more about me.
This is an old post but I thought it might be interesting to some of you 😊
I’m Yvonne. I help women who’s get up and go has got up and gone, and they haven’t got the energy to go look for it, but you know that, right?
But there’s also some stuff you don’t know about me……. I am a qualified seamstress and can alter anything, my favourite food on earth is tomatoes, I used to work on a Kibbutz in Israel and have hitchhiked around Europe and Israel with a pack on my back.
My daughters name is Maggie May, and my son James works outdoors teaching kids how to climb, I was a stewardess on ‘The Love Boat’ for many years and I love a good chat, when I got a job as a receptionist, I rang my Mam and said “Would you believe they’re paying me to talk!”
I’m never happier than when I’m barefoot on the beach….good job we live on the North East Coast, I’m married to Ian, he’s Scottish, and claims were made that I’d gone ‘over the border’ and stole one of their men (Not entirely unfounded) and there’s nothing I like better than watching old black and white films. Now you know a little bit more about me, what is it I don’t know about you?

I’ve just completed Andrew T Austin’s ‘Metaphors of Movement’ training.
With Masha Bennett at her beautiful and welcoming Sand and Sound Centre, in Hyde, Manchester https://sandsoundcentre.co.uk/about and to say it was brilliant would be an understatement.
I would highly recommend this training, or anything else delivered by this skilled and knowledgeable practitioner.
Masha gently holds the space and shares her wisdom, with a wonderfully supportive, kind and open heart, nurturing an atmosphere of respect and inclusion which led to a very insightful few days.
A big thank you, Masha, for your support and gentle humour, which made it all so comfortable and enjoyable.

Bakehouse at St Peter’s Church Calls for Community Support Amidst Volunteer Shortage

[20/01/2025]

The Bakehouse at St Peter’s Church, a cherished community café in the heart of St Peter’s Ward, is reaching out for volunteer support to help secure its future. While the café has overcome many challenges since the pandemic, it now faces a shortage of volunteers that threatens its ability to operate effectively.

The Bakehouse is a welcoming space enjoyed by local residents, university students and staff, and visitors to the historic St Peter’s Church. Offering hot and cold food, coffees, teas, and a chance to connect with others, it has thrived as a hub for the community. However, without more volunteers, maintaining this vital service will become increasingly difficult.

“The Bakehouse is a labor of love,” said Cllr Joshua McKeith, Chair of Trustees. “We’ve seen how much it means to our community, especially after the isolation of the pandemic. But right now, we need more hands to keep this special place running. Whether you’re an experienced baker, a coffee enthusiast, or just someone who wants to make a difference, we’d love to have you on board.”

Volunteers are essential to preparing food, serving customers, and managing daily tasks. By volunteering, individuals can support a vital community initiative, gain new skills, and meet people while making a meaningful impact.

The Bakehouse trustees are urging anyone with time to spare to consider joining the team. Shifts are flexible, and no experience is necessary—just a willingness to help and a heart for community service.

To learn more about volunteering at the Bakehouse at St Peter’s Church, please contact cllr.joshua.mckeith@sunderland.gov.uk - alternatively please call into the bakehouse during opening hours.

Together, we can ensure the Bakehouse remains a beacon of community spirit. Your support can make all the difference.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year With love, Yvonne xx

Morning 🙋‍♀️, so this is what Ive been working on, I've thought about this for a while, and now Im putting it out there 😊
I'm considering creating a membership group called 'Consistently Calm Club' and it will begin on 9th December, perfect timing for a little extra support over Christmait would give you online access to me and the techniques and teachings I use to work with private clients.
It's going to focus on using a mixture of Mindfulness, NLP, EFT and Hypnotherapy to learn how to deal with anxiety, overwhelm, self doubt and more.
There'll be accountability, reminders, recordings, and a live call once a month along with weekly Q&A's.
All sent to you in easy to do, bite-sized chunks. And there'll also be a Facebook group to join if you want to.
I'm going to charge £25 a month with a lifetime reduced rate of £20 for early joiners.
What do you think? Is it something you might consider? xx

Caught in the act, one of my lovely clients enjoying a Bowen ☺️
Did you know that we have had evidence for 23 YEARS that Bowen Technique is beneficial for supporting the recovery for Frozen Shoulders?
A study done in 2001 (and available on our website for reference) found that Bowen "demonstrated an improvement for participants, even those with a very long standing history of frozen shoulder"
Also that 70% of the participants felt that there was no longer any difference in mobility between both shoulders.
And unlike other studies on frozen shoulders at the time, no one dropped out of this study, compared to 17-59% of participants in other studies!
So if you are struggling with shoulder issues, painful frozen shoulder etc, why not consider giving Bowen Technique a try?
