Weight loss medications such as Ozempic and Mounjaro are helping many people achieve significant and positive changes in their health and confidence. However, with rapid weight loss, we can also see changes within the skin and facial structure.

As facial fat reduces quickly, some people notice increased skin laxity, hollowing, loss of definition or skin that feels less supported than before. This isn’t “bad skin” or something going wrong, it’s simply the face adapting to change.

At EOS Aesthetics, our approach is always to support the skin naturally and thoughtfully. Rather than chasing volume alone, we focus on improving skin quality, collagen production and structural support through treatments such as Morpheus8, regenerative skin treatments and meticulous injectable work where suited.

The goal is to help the skin keep pace with the changes happening beneath it, so you still feel like yourself - refreshed, healthy and supported.

If you’ve experienced changes in your skin during weight loss and aren’t sure where to start, we’re here to guide you.

Sending so much appreciation to all the incredible nurses today on International Nurses Day 🤍

Having been a nurse for over 37 years, and receiving the Queen’s Nurse title in 2013, I’ll always have such deep respect for the compassion, resilience, dedication and care that nursing requires every single day.

Nursing has given me so much throughout my career, and I feel incredibly grateful that my journey has come full circle in allowing me to now support and mentor other nurses through helping practitioners grow in confidence, develop their skills and build careers they truly love.

To all the amazing nurses I know, work alongside and have had the privilege of guiding throughout the years, Happy International Nurses Day - today is about celebrating you.

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of attending an advanced facial anatomy cadaver course at the historic Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh with .gisellacriollo and

The day was centred around detailed anatomical teaching and cadaver dissection, studying the layers, vessels, fat pads, ligaments and muscular structures of the face using donated human tissue.

This level of education is one of the most valuable experiences an injector can undertake. Seeing anatomy layer by layer in real life provides a depth of understanding that goes far beyond textbooks or diagrams alone.

This depth of anatomical knowledge is essential. It allows for safer treatment planning, greater precision and a deeper understanding of how to achieve natural, balanced results whilst keeping patient safety at the centre of every decision.

Continuous education is such an important part of this profession and something I care deeply about. I’m incredibly grateful to , .gisellacriollo and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for such a valuable opportunity.

When it comes to treatments like Morpheus8 and microneedling, the best choice isn’t about what’s “better”, it’s about what your skin actually needs.

While both treatments stimulate collagen, they work at different depths and deliver different outcomes.

Morpheus8 is designed for deeper skin concerns such as skin laxity, loss of firmness and structural ageing, using radiofrequency to support tightening and long-term skin remodelling.

Microneedling, on the other hand, focuses more on surface-level improvements, helping to stimulate collagen to improve the skins texture, pores, scarring and maintain overall skin quality.

Understanding this difference is key to getting the results you’re looking for.

If you’re unsure which treatment is right for you, a consultation allows us to assess your skin properly and guide you towards the most effective, tailored approach.

If your skincare isn’t giving you the results you expected, it’s not always about the products themselves. Often, it comes down to how they’re chosen and used.

Following trends, layering too many actives, or applying products in the wrong order can all limit how effective your routine actually is, even if you’re using good skincare.

That’s why understanding your skin and routine properly is so important. With the Observ 520x, we’re able to look beneath the surface and assess what’s really going on, allowing us to build a routine that’s targeted, balanced and designed to deliver results you can actually track over time.

Because effective skincare isn’t about plenty of products, it’s about the right ones for your skin.

If you feel like your routine isn’t quite working, schedule a skin consultation today to understand what your skin truly needs.

Earlier this week, Elaine had the privilege of attending the VIP launch of InMode’s newest device, Picofy, with the UK and Italy teams.

Hosted in beautiful Rome, it was an opportunity to connect with leading voices in medical aesthetics and explore the next evolution of energy-based skin treatments.

At EOS Aesthetics, staying current isn’t just about the latest device. It’s about understanding new research, what’s truly effective, and what will genuinely benefit our patients. Experiences like this allow us to continually refine our knowledge, approach and patient care.

We’re always looking ahead - to new developments, new evidence, and how we can bring the very best into clinic.

Thank you for a wonderful trip.

If Elaine knew what she knows now, these are the things she would have focused on sooner…

SPF, first and foremost. Every single day, and not just on the face, but the neck, décolletage and hands too. The areas we often forget, but the ones that are continuously exposed and show signs of ageing the quickest.

From there, it’s about supporting your skin with the right ingredients. A Vitamin C in the morning to protect and maintain brightness, and a retinol in the evening to support renewal, strengthen the skin and encourage long-term collagen production.

And something so simple, but often missed, cleansing your skin properly. Not just removing makeup, but using a cleanser that effectively lifts away the day while keeping your skin balanced and healthy.

If you’re not sure where to start or feel like your routine isn’t quite working, we’re here to help you simplify it.
