We simply cannot post every birthday on here otherwise we would be celebrating all day every day! HOWEVER, today we are making a little exception
because our front of house beauty Rebecca has been with us from the very first day we opened our doors, nearly 9 years ago and she is woven into the heart and fabric of Bishops Manor ❤️✨🥳

Rebecca, your warmth and kindness is palpable and felt by absolutely everyone who walks through our doors, from our residents and their families, our entertainers, to visiting professionals, delivery drivers, our postie, in fact anyone who passes through our doors. The lovely comments we hear about you on a daily basis say it all. ❤️ 🥰✨

A little festive trip to Planters Garden Centre. Featuring our wonderful ladies, Rudolph, Father Christmas with our senior carer Maddie on his lap 🙊 a scenic polar bear display 🐻‍❄️ plenty of mischief and a tinsel dinosaur 😂 🥳 🦕 🎄✨

A delicious lunch followed by a spot of Christmas shopping at this beautiful local venue. We love supporting our local businesses and getting out and about 🥳❤️✨

🎅🏽 Happy December 1st from Bishops Manor 🤶🏽✨

The festivities are already in full swing and we have LOVED switching things up in the bistro. There is something magical about creating a space that feels warm familiar and full of love for our residents and their families. It is not finished yet but it already feel super cosy. 🏡 🎅🏽🤶🏽✨

Also, our Christmas tree carries so much meaning. The stars represent our award winning team who shine for our residents every single day and the feathers are a gentle mark of respect for all the wonderful residents who have been a part of our family; every feather is a reminder that they are still very much a part of our story and are always held in our hearts. ❤️ 🌟 angel 🪽 🙏🏽 ✨

And would it be Christmas without the treats? 👀 Back by popular demand are Bens outstanding home made bourbon brownie style biscuits and they are absolutely incredible. We also have fresh home made mince pies and the most delicious ginger bread for everyone to enjoy. 😋 ✨

We hope everyone enjoys the festivities, we LOVE December as it is action packed with fun, love and treats. 🎅🏽🤶🏽❤️✨

On Saturday 15th November 2025, we had the pleasure of celebrating a remarkable milestone. The ONE HUNDRED and FIFTH birthday of our wonderful Bill, a proud RAF veteran and a cherished member of our Bishops Manor family. 🥳 🫡 🎖️🏅❤️✨

Bill is always turned out beautifully and carries himself with a style and grace that never goes out of fashion. Bill is like no other and has a trademark smile and effortless charm that makes him stand out and has us all captivated. 🤩 🥳❤️✨

Bill is the picture of wisdom kindness and strength. His presence lifts every room he walks into, filling it with joy laughter and gentle reminders of what really matters in life. His stories and his optimism inspire every single one of us offering insights that only more than a century of living can give. 🫡 🎖️🏅❤️

We are honoured to care for Bill and his lovely wife Cynthia and to walk alongside them in their journey. Their love is something special and their family brings warmth, kindness and good vibes to our home daily. Bill you are truly amazing and your legacy of love is felt by all of us. ❤️✨

🌺 Armistice Day Service at Bishop’s Manor 🌺

LEST WE FORGET 🫡🏅🎖️

What a beautiful and heartfelt service we shared today at Bishop’s Manor, led by Reverend Danny Bierley and joined by the wonderful children from St Nicholas Primary School. ✨

Hymns were sung, prayers were offered, poems were read, and a wreath was lovingly laid in honour of those who served and sacrificed. 🙏🏽 🎶 🌺🎖️🏅✨

We also spent time reflecting on and sharing the many things we’re grateful for, made possible by the courage and sacrifice of those who came before us. 🙏🏽 🕊️

Our residents were deeply moved by the children’s presence and the spirit of remembrance that filled the room. 🌹✨

Happily ever after post, and a very special moment for all of us here at Bishop’s Manor 🥳❤️✨

Our wonderful friend Colin has now moved back home to begin an exciting new chapter, back with his family. When Colin first joined us he had been bed bound for 18 months and was told he would not walk again. 👀 🥺.. HOWEVER .. Colin had other plans 💪🏼 🚀

With patience determination and the incredible support of our magnificent first floor team, along with frequent visits from his fabulous physio Matthew, Colin defied all odds. Through daily encouragement, therapy and a spirit that never gave up, Colin became mobile again and ready to return home to his loving wife Dawn and family. 🥺 🏡 ❤️🥳✨

This journey has inspired us all and we could not be prouder of the progress Colin has made. Though he has left a big space in our Bishop’s Manor family we are overjoyed knowing he is continuing his recovery surrounded by those he loves most. 🥳❤️✨

Here’s to you Sir!! THANK YOU to the Andrews family for trusting, choosing and putting your faith in us and for all the love you brought with you during each and every visit. 🙏 ❤️✨

Oh what joy the cutest therapy Shetland ponies brought to Bishop’s Manor 🐴✨

Meet Lollipop 🍭 and Moomin (who remembers the Moomins? ☺️) The effects these gentle visitors have on our residents speak for themselves; pure magic filled every corner of the home. 🐴 🍭 ❤️✨

Each visit is lovingly tailored so everyone can enjoy the experience whether in communal lounges, private rooms, the bistro and resident bedrooms. ☺️ 💛 🥰✨

Exercise with Shak is back! 💪🏽🥳✨

We love our Tuesday afternoons with Shak, he ALWAYS brings great energy and our residents enjoy and look forward to getting involved. 💥 🤩

Keeping active is so important for strength and wellbeing and these sessions make such a difference. Shak is loved by everyone and a real inspiration although we’re still not sure we’ll be partaking in that 4am run he does 👀 🙈🫠😂
