Had such a lovely day today at the Age Connects West Midlands Cafe💛

We had our own little stall set up alongside Age Connects West Midlands and it was so nice chatting to everyone, sharing what we do at Sutton Rose and just being part of such a welcoming community.

Doreen (our amazing resident) came along with me and, as always, she was an absolute star — everyone loved her! 🌟

Days like this are what it’s all about 🥰

Residents, families, and visitors came together to enjoy a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, fresh air, and great company 💛

Yesterday was full of smiles, music, and a little bit of sparkle as our dementia floor came alive with a fantastic 70s disco 🪩💃 Residents enjoyed classic tunes, dancing, and reminiscing to the sounds of their era — followed by some relaxing time soaking up the sunshine in our garden ☀️🌿

Days like these are what it’s all about — creating joy, connection, and meaningful moments together 💛

Age Connects Day Centre At Sutton Rose🦋

Every Wednesday, Age Connects run a fantastic Day Centre right here at Sutton Rose Care Home – creating a welcoming space for connection, companionship, and community 💛

Today, we had the pleasure of bringing along our much-loved mascot, Kenny, to join in the fun – and he was a huge hit! 🐾 From wagging tails to warm cuddles, he certainly made his mark.

For the past four months, this weekly partnership has brought so much joy to everyone involved, and it’s amazing to see the positive impact it continues to have.

We’re proud to work alongside such a brilliant organisation and look forward to many more Wednesdays together!

🌼 Our Forget-Me-Not Journey Begins 🌼

Today at Sutton Rose, we began a truly special journey 💙

Our residents spent time painting beautiful pots in memory of loved ones they hold close in their hearts. Each one tells a story, filled with love, memories, and meaning.

Over the coming days, we’ll be planting Forget-Me-Not seeds in these pots 🌼 — creating a personal memorial for each resident to keep in their room. A gentle reminder that those we’ve lost are never forgotten.

Moments like these are so heartwarming and meaningful, bringing comfort, connection, and reflection to our home 💫

Stay & Play on Our Dementia Floor at Sutton Rose ✨🌸

Yesterday at Sutton Rose, our dementia community was filled with laughter, music, and the most heartwarming connections 💛

We hosted a very special Stay & Play session, where little visitors joined our residents for a morning full of joy. From sharing breakfast together to playing games and enjoying a mini party, the smiles said it all 🥐🎈

Moments like these are so powerful. For our residents, especially those living with dementia, the presence of children can spark memories, lift moods, and bring a wonderful sense of calm and happiness. And for the children, it’s a chance to build meaningful connections, learn kindness, and create beautiful memories across generations 🌈

There was dancing, laughter, and plenty of special moments that reminded us exactly what Sutton Rose is all about — community, connection, and enriching later life.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so magical. We can’t wait to do it again!

🐣 Meet the Newest Members of the Sutton Rose Family🐣

What started as a few tiny eggs has turned into something really special here at Sutton Rose 💛

Over the past week, our residents have been part of the whole journey — watching, waiting, and checking in on them every day until they finally arrived. Safe to say there’s been a lot of excitement!

The chicks have quickly become part of daily life in the home. Residents have loved spending time with them, talking about them, and of course having a little cuddle. It’s been amazing to see how much happiness something so small can bring 🐣

And of course, we couldn’t forget our Sutton Rose mascots Kenny & Seb 🐶 who were very interested in meeting the new arrivals!

We’re keeping our chicks and will be building them their own hen home as they grow 🏡🐔
