After obtaining my medical degree from the University of Patras, Greece, I completed all my surgical training in the UK. I undertook my specialist training in Plastic Surgery in Manchester and completed fellowships in breast reconstruction at City Hospital, Birmingham and in Winn

Loss of skin elasticity, ageing and weight loss, can cause the breasts to lose their natural shape and firmness.

A breast uplift or mastopexy is a cosmetic breast surgical procedure to lift and reshape the sagging breasts. It is similar to a breast reduction procedure, but minimal or no breast tissue is removed, the skin is tightened and the breast re-shaped.

I believe that Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery should be individualised and tailored to each person’s needs, and ensure all procedures to alter appearance should follow the rules of safe surgical practice.

According to the new figures, BAAPS (The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) 31,057 cosmetic procedures took place in 2022, up 102% from the previous year.

Figures were expected to rise post-pandemic due to pent-up demand, however, the numbers are higher than they were pre-pandemic.

BAAPS President Marc Pacifico said:

“The 2022 BAAPS audit shows that demand for cosmetic surgery has more than bounced back post pandemic.

Economic uncertainty and a decrease in overall consumer spending does not seem to the deterring patients from having cosmetic surgery.”

Travel experts are warning people that they could face delays at the airport - and all because of beauty enhancements like Botox and filler.

Gemma Brown, head of product at Travel Republic is warning:

“When travelling, it's crucial to remember that the purpose of your passport photo is to provide a clear and accurate visual identification of yourself.
