🌼 Your yoga prescription for March:
Winter contains the quality of Kapha, or earth energy, and this wintertime in the UK we have had not just earth but mud!: The ground swamp like and sopping wet, heavy and claggy.
It’s no surprise if you’ve been feeling dull and sluggish over the past couple of months! 🐌
As we enter March and see glimmers of blue sky and feel a little warmth (rather than dampness!) in the air, it’s time to shed your winter coat, to lighten and brighten up ✨
In class this month we’ll develop Agni (digestive fire) to warm the body, with cleansing & clearing breaths and core-connecting movements.
Standing poses and sequences will boost prana through the lower body, and stabilise strong roots so we can feel lighter and lifted above ground.
We’re retaining awareness on routine, habits and small steps that build confidence, move us towards our goals and keep us secure, healthy and well. Your consistent yoga practice is key to this 🔑
