However, if things are tough today, maybe you could:

1. Make a list of key objectives and priorities?
2. Brain storm or brain dump ideas.
3. Pace yourself. Take a break.
4. Encourage one another
5. Support distress at work. Offer help.
6. Offer hope.
7. Listen to others.
8. Highlight your ideas too.
9. Be patient with yourself and talk kindly to yourself on bad days.
10. Plan something that is a nice thing to do at the end of your working day.

πŸ‘‰ However, mindful moments of quiet, can help us to feel calm and supports our nervous system.

πŸ‘‰ Mindful breathing helps us to breathe deeply from our diaphragm.

πŸ‘‰ Mindful moments help us to have peace. Improving our cognitive function and repair.

πŸ‘‰ We also get vitamin D from sunlight and see all the beautiful colours around us.

What's not to like?

πŸ’€ SLEEP tips for teens and parents.....

Often, as it is the summer holidays🏝️ 🌞 routines and boundaries can go a bit awire.

πŸ‘‰ Sometimes, we need to have fun and enjoy ourselves throughout the summer break. FACT.

πŸ‘‰ However, persistent poor sleep πŸ’€ can affect our mood. We can feel more irritable, more 'edgy', more ' fidegety' and often this means we can toss and turn at night, worry before bed or during the day, as we have not processed our emotions.

πŸ‘‰πŸ’‘ This leads to poor work, home, school or university life as our ability to cope lessons, when we have had poor sleep.

🌞 I had a lovely therapy session today with a tween and her mum, we were discussing all things SLEEP.

Here are a few tips:

πŸ’‘ Reducing caffeine before bed.

πŸ’‘ Regular sleep time and morning waking time helps the Circadian rhythmn.

πŸ’‘ Soft music, reading, starting the process of switching off gadgets and TV 2 hours before sleep (which is hard for tweens,teens, parents).

πŸ’‘Teens need 8-10 hours of sleep per night for their well-being. More than we think!

πŸ’‘Teens often have a natural tendency to stay up late due to their changing biological clocks, chatting to mates on phones, googling, tick tock etc. we need to support and monitor this.

πŸ’‘Obligations like early school start times, homework, extra curricular activities, and social activities can make it hard for teens to get enough sleep.

πŸ‘‰Therefore, good sleep hygiene is really important.

πŸ‘‰ phones, phones, glorious phones!!!! limit screen time, track snap chat, put on parental controls, phones away at a certain time, away from headspace, in a drawer. It is not easy, but it , can really help improve 'teen sleep quality' and improve their overall health.

πŸ’‘Indeed these tips can help adults too.......!

πŸ¦‹ Reminding us that we are all such small creatures and there is a bigger picture perhaps?

πŸ¦‹ Nature keeps me grounded.

πŸ¦‹ Nature restores my soul.

πŸ¦‹ I love to see different animals in their natural habitats, from cows, birds, insects and I love to look and smell flowers, observe swaying trees in the breeze and watch the ripples of water on lakes and streams.

πŸ¦‹ Nature help me to stop, pause and reflect for a moment. Does it do that for you too?

In life, it is not always easy.....

πŸ€” Sometimes we get scared.

πŸ€” Sometimes we shy away from things due to our fears or past hurts.

πŸ€” Sometimes other people think they are better than us, try to make us feel bad, or say unkind things.

πŸ€” This can then make us feel sad, hurt, angry, frustrated and it can lower our self worth.

πŸ€” We can then lose our confidence.

People who hurt others, are often hurting themselves inside and are actually insecure and often in a bad place themselves.

? Otherwise - why would that person or people choose to be mean or dismissive or disrespectful to another person?

πŸ‘‰ So, this week can you change the polarity around?

πŸ‘‰ Can you do something different?

πŸ‘‰ Can you be more flexible in your thinking?

πŸ‘‰ Can you take that courageous baby step no matter how small, or that great leap of faith and step forward in hope, for a fresh start to reach your goals?
