Why does your tummy rumble during a massage....and why it's perfectly normal.

A rumbling, growling stomach happens during pretty much every massage session and it's actually not a sign of hunger, but it is a huge compliment to the therapist!

The technical name for this is borborygmi, and no, i have no clue how to pronounce it 😂, and it's a sign that your digestive system is relaxed and is in 'rest and digest' mode. This means that your bodies parasympathetic nervous system is activated, which helps to promote digestion, and gases and fluids are moving through your intestines as they should be. ❤️

So next time your belly starts grumbling during your treatment, there's no need to be embarrassed, just smile and carry on relaxing 😀
