Over the last two weeks, we have had the pleasure of hosting two students from West Notts College, who spent a week with us as part of their health and social care course. The first week, we welcomed Raph (playing dominoes with Derek and out for lunch with Kelly), and the second week was Ellie (enjoyed a game of pool with Michael).

We have enjoyed showing them the joys of working in care and the satisfaction that comes from caring for others. They were both a pleasure to have, and we look forward to working with the college for further placements.

Over the past few weeks, we have conducted several cooking sessions as part of our independent living skills program. We have made mulled wine, faggots with mash, stir fry, omelette with beans, and pizza.

We have added a special to our menu each day so we can start teaching the residents how to make simple yet full meals, and everyone has been having a brilliant time learning new skills.
