Are you a Carer?

If you are looking after someone who couldn’t cope without your help, we really would like you to let us know, so that we can ensure you receive all the support and information we can give. A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support. You are a young carer if you are under 18 in this role.

You can be added to our practice 'carer register' and gain access to information and support. This includes access to a named Carer Champion.

A Carer Champion is a staff member at your practice who support carers. The Carer’s Champions at our practice are Chris and Jenny.

❄️ **Important Practice Update** ❄️

Due to the adverse weather conditions, we are currently experiencing staff shortages across both our clinical and non-clinical teams. As a result, there may be delays in answering phone calls and limited availability for same-day appointments.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this time.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact the practice to cancel or reply to your SMS appointment reminder so we can offer the slot to another patient.

Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe in the snow. ❄️

🌱 Healthy Habits for 2026

A new year doesn’t have to mean big changes. Small, manageable habits can make a real difference to your health and wellbeing.

✔️ Sleep
Aim for a regular bedtime and waking time where possible — good sleep supports both physical and mental health.

✔️ Diet
Try to eat a balanced diet and stay hydrated. Small swaps and regular meals are more sustainable than strict diets.

✔️ Movement
Any movement counts — walking, stretching, housework or gentle exercise all help keep your body and mind healthy.

Merry Christmas from us all at King's Medical Centre 🎄

We’d like to wish all of our patients a very happy, healthy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Please note that we will be closed for the bank holidays over the Christmas and New Year period.

When we are closed and your problem cannot wait until we reopen – 111 is the NHS non-emergency number. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
