The school aged immunisation service provides vaccinations to children in schools across the county.

They also offer community clinics during school holidays for anyone who might have missed a school clinic or is home educated.

There will be clinics across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire during the May half term.

IntraHealth deliver the School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS) and offer catch-up clinics during the school holidays, for school aged children who live in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Nigel Clough, manager of Mansfield Town Football club, joined Stags season ticket holder Shelly Mercer at Orchard Pharmacy in Mansfield for a blood pressure check, and Nigel is urging local people to do the same.

In 2020, researchers at Oxford University confirmed that passionate football supporters are more at risk of experiencing dangerous levels of the hormone cortisol, commonly associated with stress.

Nigel said: “Staying match fit is important for fans, just as it is for players, and I’d really encourage Stags fans – in fact all football and non-football fans – to get their blood pressure checked regularly.

“The check is quick, painless, and being able to walk into your local high street pharmacy to have it done, often without even needing an appointment, means it’s also very convenient.

“Medical emergencies at football matches are, sadly, becoming all too common. By having your blood pressure checked you can detect underlying blood pressure issues you may have, and this can literally be the difference between life and death.”

If you are an organisation with a focus on early intervention and reduction of violence in 18-24 year-olds then the free First Step to Funding course may be for you.

It aims to help those who are new to grants and applying for funding.

The course takes place on Wednesday 22 January 5pm - 8pm at the Homestead Community Centre in Kirkby in Ashfield and is free of charge.

The Rosewood Primary Care Network (PCN) which covers five GP practices in Mansfield, has been praised for its pioneering work with vulnerable patients.

This comes after Dr Kathy McLean, Chair of the NHS Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board visiting the PCN on October.
