As part of the Anchor 2026 Initiative we will be embracing Nutrition & Hydration Week (16th - 22nd March).

This week gives us the opportunity to celebrate the culture of food, the connection, beliefs and experience we have with food and our food system.

This weekend we say goodbye (temporarily of course 😊) to Brie who begins her Maternity leave 🩷.

We will miss you around the home and would like to wish you all the best as you embark on this beautiful adventure of becoming a Mummy.

Year of Culture Launch Event
A taste of Greece Coffee Morning.
We had a fabulous turnout this morning for our event. Guest of honour Maria, who was born in Athens, was joined by her two sons. Maria taught us all how to say Good Morning in Greek Kaleemera then everyone said Kaleemera back to Maria.
Chef Shaun made Portokalopita, a traditional Greek orange cake with syrup and Karidopita, walnut cake with syrup as star bakes. Entertainment with James.

This was an exclusive led by our Chef allowing resident’s to explore new flavors, cultures, and culinary techniques.

What better way to end the week than an afternoon down the “Pub”…

A pub afternoon is so beneficial for lots of people because it provides a familiar, normalising and stimulating environment that encourages social interaction, it triggers positive reminiscence, and boosts emotional well-being.

By recreating a setting many individuals frequented earlier in life, it helps reduce anxiety, loneliness, and isolation, while providing a meaningful, enjoyable activity that brings a sense of purpose.
