At the start of the new year Belsize Court were approached by Sophia, a young student & her Aunt Hayley (in photo), who's Nan previously lived at Belsize.

As Sophia has many happy childhood memories, spending time with her Nan at Belsize Court, she instantly chose to complete her DofE award placement with us :).

For a number of months Sophia & her Aunt, who supported, offered a 'Chat, Coffee & Cake' afternoon, every Saturday in the communal lounge. This relaxed & friendly group enabled residents to come together.

On behalf of everyone at Belsize Court "Well done Sophia on completing your placement, its been a pleasure & good luck with your studies..

Belsize Court residents & family enjoyed a fabulous VE Day 80th Anniversary Tea party this week. Kay Williams from the charity Music in Hospitals & Care sang lots of golden oldies for everyone to join in.

The afternoon turned into a right old knees up. Followed by a Karaoke to 'Keep Calm & Carry on'. Thankyou so much to The Shanly Foundation who very kindly helped to fund this event.

Thankyou to Asda Beddington for kindly donating food & drink items also for the event & to everyone else who attended & supported.

Residents of Belsize Court & Dymond House have been celebrating VE Days 80th Anniversary over the past week and to commemorate they visited Runnymede War Memorial in Cooper's Hill.

Everyone had the privilege of having a private tour from Paul, a Commonwealth War Graves Commission volunteer, who gave a very heart felt insight into some of the men and women who sadly lost their lives during the Second World War.

Residents also enjoyed a picnic near the Magna Carta and also on the way home stopped at The Ferry Coffee Shop in Shepperton.

A big thank you to our driver Andrew from Merton Community Transport for being so accommodating, residents had a wonderful day🥰.

Easter Animal Therapy at Belsize Court.

Belsize Court residents enjoyed an Easter treat with a visit from Kingswood Shetlands & Friends - Community Interest Not for Profit.

Animals that visited were lambs, rabbits, gerbils, a hedgehog, chickens, a bearded dragon and a snake. Residents said they had a lovely afternoon and staff were very friendly. Thank you to everyone that attended.

Good Friday's theme for the monthly Creative Social for Easter was 'Rabbits'. Residents from Belsize Court and from their sister court Pantiles House who visit created some amazing artwork. Belsize Court residents recently enjoyed a lovely Easter service with a visit from River Church Sutton. Thankyou to Steve & everyone that kindly visited on Good Friday. Residents commented that they had a wonderful time chatting after to all the volunteers & eating delicious Easter treats. Your befriending really helped to make a positive difference. BELSIZE COURT'S EASTER RAFFLE EVENT RAISES £345.00

Thank you very much to everyone who bought a raffle ticket as all funds raised help towards engaging activities, which are vital in helping to promote resident's social inclusion and wellbeing.

A big thank you to the local community of Sutton such as B&Q, Marks and Spencer, Nando's, Sainsbury's, The Sound Lounge, Throwley Yard Cinema, also Belsize Court's onsite Roxy's Tasty Kitchen & Hair to Dye For, for their generous donation of raffle prizes.

Spring is in the air at Belsize Court, with residents painting beautiful blossom landscapes during their monthly Creative Social group.🌸

It's great to see residents expressing their creativity and flourishing in confidence. Residents from their sister court Pantiles House also joined. 🌸

Residents of Belsize Court & visitors from their sister court Pantiles House are extremely creative. They recently attended a wonderful workshop of Dry Air Clay & Music in one of their communal spaces. Thank you to Orshina Clark who runs the monthly, art social group & encourages our residents to explore their own creativity.

It's great to see everyone open to trying something new and seeing their confidence grow. They are looking forward to painting their art work once the air clay is dry. Well done everyone, great job!!😍

Happy Valentines weekend ❤️
Residents of Belsize Court enjoyed a delicious Fish Fry Friday in Roxy's Tasty Kitchen with a choice of seabass, salmon, cod or chilli prawn, followed by a strawberries, ice cream & biscuit base dessert. Residents from their sister housing scheme, Pantiles House also visited for the lunch and afternoon art social activity.🥰

Happy Chinese New Year!🐍The year of the snake. To celebrate, residents of Belsize Court enjoyed a Chinese New Year Bingo activity. Julian, our volunteer very kindly offered to make 'Fai Chun' for good luck & prosperity.
