When snowstorms swept across England, Scotland, and Wales, many medicine deliveries and nursing visits faced serious challenges ❄️.

But for our HealthNet nurses, patient care doesn’t stop when the weather turns. While some delays are unavoidable, they did everything they could to keep care on track by lacing up their boots and walking through snow to make sure patients received the support they needed. 💙

We’re incredibly proud of our team. Their dedication reminds us that behind every successful patient outcome is a nurse who goes above and beyond.

Every year, around £18 million worth of medicines is wasted in West Yorkshire. HealthNet is proud to support the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership NHS England campaign: 'Only Order What You Need'.

Here’s how you can help:
✅ Check before you order – Only request the items you need, this includes non-medicine items such as sharps bins and swabs.
✅ Return extras – Give back full or unwanted sharps bins with your next delivery.
✅ Stick to your routine – Order when you need it. Avoid ordering stock months in advance.

We’re committed to working with you to reduce waste, and we know there are steps we need to take on our side too. To help us improve, please get in touch if:

• You’re receiving too much stock (including non-medicine items).
• You have questions about returning unwanted items.
• You need advice on your medication cycle.

If you’re immunocompromised, even mild flu symptoms can have a bigger impact. Please monitor your health closely and seek medical advice if symptoms worsen.

❄️ The ice and snow in some parts of the country are making things more challenging, and it may mean a few changes to delivery schedules. Please be reassured that our drivers are doing everything they can to get your healthcare supplies to you safely and as quickly as possible.

Your safety - and the safety of our drivers - always comes first, and sometimes that means taking things a little slower on the roads.

HealthNet also created Stork Fertility, a premium alternative to the existing homecare fertility services. We are a specialist pharmacy who work seamlessly with your fertility clinic to provide a personalised and discreet service tailored to suit your needs and make your treatment as stress free as possible.
