This will impact on availability of urgent / same day appointments, as well as some routine appointments being rescheduled.

📱 💻 "SystmConnect" is now live 💻 📱

Between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm, you will be able to register new patients, request a sick note or request ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS ONLY via a new method online called "SystmConnect".

You will be directed to a questionnaire that our staff will use to provide you with appropriate health advice, signpost you to appropriate services or send you a booking link to make a routine appointment with an appropriate clinician at the surgery.

This should improve the patient experience, for those digitally enabled, to book routine appointments and, at the same time, free up capacity for our reception team to deal with urgent on the day matters.

To reiterate this is NOT for urgent appointment requests, these will continue to be dealt with via calling our reception or coming to reception in person.

This does not replace telephone booking. Patients can still call to request appointments or speak to a member of the team.

💉 Information regarding Flu and Covid Vaccinations 💉

As part of the Swadlincote Primary Care Network (PCN) Heartwood is working in a coordinated and collaborative way to deliver the Influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations for our combined patient population during the 25/26 vaccination season.

All eligible patients will receive a booking link to book their Flu / covid appointment at Ragsdale (the old Woodville Surgery Site next to Woodville Cricket Club).

Please note the COVID-19 vaccination eligibility has significantly reduced this year. The following patients ONLY are eligible for their COVID vaccination:

- Residents in a Care home for older adults
- Adults aged 75 years and over
- Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosupressed.

The flu programme remains unchanged.

Housebound patients will receive their vaccinations at home.
