We're hosting a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support on the 26th September from 11am. Cake and hot drinks will be available all day! Please do pop into our head office at Holford House, Holford Court, Hearthcote Road, Swadlincote to join in the fun - any donations for our fundraising efforts are welcome. We'd love to see all staff members to treat you, and service users and their family members and friends are also welcome

This dedicated week aims to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation, while educating about the need for more donors to support those waiting for a transplant. 🌿 Get Active in the Forest - Parkinson’s Nordic Walking Group 🌿

We’re excited to launch a brand-new weekly Nordic Walking group for people with Parkinson’s and their families/carers at Rosliston Forestry Centre.

🗓️ Starting: Tuesday 23rd September 2025
⏰ 1:30pm - 2:30pm (walk) | 2:30pm - 3:00pm (hot drink & chat)
📍 Rosliston Forestry Centre, Burton Road, Swadlincote, DE12 8JX
💷 £2.50 per person (carers free)

👟 What to expect:

👉 Gentle Nordic Walking on surfaced paths, with regular breaks

👉 Options for shorter or longer routes (bird hide, pond, lake)

👉 Mobility scooters and trampers available for those who prefer not to walk

👉 Relaxed hot drink and chat afterwards - you’re welcome to join just for this part!

✨ Nordic Walking is a low-impact activity shown to have real benefits for people with Parkinson’s. More importantly, it’s a chance to get outdoors, enjoy nature, and connect with others.
