How does play therapy support children's wellbeing?
Children might need additional support for various reasons. Play therapy offers children a safe, creative space to explore and understand their thoughts and feelings. This means play therapy can help children who may need support with low self esteem/confidence, friendship difficulties, reluctance to attend school, loss, and bullying to name a few.
At Panacea Play Therapy we offer individual or group play therapy sessions to support children.
π¨ Individual Play Therapy offers weekly 1:1 sessions between a child and therapist. The relationship with the therapist provides a safe framework for exploration and self-understanding. Children can explore their feelings through creative mediums such as art, sand, role play, puppets and music.
π¨ Group Play Therapy offers children the opportunity to explore and share experiences in a supportive group setting, addressing challenges such as loss, bullying, low self-esteem, or difficulties forming friendships.
If this sounds like something that can support a child you know, please contact us for more information.
