From mobility and strength work to plenty of smiles and laughter, every session was built around our "Stronger For Longer Method"

Focusing on:

A real highlight today was at Holmwood House, where children from the local school joined in and supported the session 👏

Seeing different generations come together, encouraging each other and sharing smiles was so special, moments like that are what it’s all about ❤️

It’s always a privilege to work with such amazing residents and supportive teams, thank you for having us 🙌

Mr Dod brings so much energy, happiness and laughter while helping to keep our residents active, engaged and smiling. Sessions are tailored so that everyone can take part, including those with mobility restrictions or needing seated exercises.

Today at Holmwood House, we proudly took part in Day in support of Mental Health Awareness.

Mental health is vital—especially for those working in health and social care. As a team, we came together to show our support, enjoy a delicious selection of cakes from our local bakery, take part in a fun quiz, and most importantly, spend time connecting with one another.

“I wear my green ribbon with pride. When someone asks me, ‘What’s the green pin for?’ it opens the door to a conversation. It’s about raising awareness and reminding everyone—it’s okay to talk about mental health.”

Let’s keep the conversation going. Because mental health matters—every day.

We had a hoppy surprise at Holmwood House this Easter—our very own Easter Bunny came to spread joy to both staff and residents! With sweet treats, warm smiles, and lots of laughter, the visit brought festive cheer and created some egg-cellent memories for everyone.

A big thank you to our Easter Bunny for brightening the day—we’re already looking forward to next year’s visit!

Today we bid a fond farewell to our wonderful student, Hannah! Over the past 16 weeks, Hannah has embraced every challenge of her work placement with enthusiasm, gaining invaluable hands on experience across both our residential and nursing units. She has shown incredible dedicated, especially in supporting residents living with dementia, and has applied her newfound knowledge brilliantly to her college studies.

Hannah’s hard work, curiosity, and compassion have truly made an impact, and we couldn’t be prouder of all she has achieved. This isn’t goodbye - we are delighted that Hannah will be returning to Holmwood House as a volunteer.

Singing & dancing is always welcome at Holmwood House!

A vibrant time had at Holmwood House Residential Care & Nursing Home today.
This was by far the largest gathering we’ve had at the home and the room was absolutely alive with singing, smiles and plenty of dancing.
Paula, Denise and the team were fantastic as always, although the residents didn’t need that much encouragement. 💃🏻🕺🥳
